Since today is hump day, and all the folks having to go out in this world to take care of business this is for you.

Breakfast is on, scrambled and fried egg, egg whites for our Zimmy, pealmeal bacon, crispy hash browns for Jo, bagels, cream cheeses, fresh homemade bread. Assorted fruits, dips, coffee, Dr. Pepper for Scoote, juice.

After I drink my coffee, I am going to feel like this :playingcat: and clean the house while the baby is sleeping...This diet is kicking my rear end and my body is finally getting used to it. Trying to eat 1,041 calories a day is very hard and so far I have lost 3 pounds.

Good morning Incubus, i saw on the news briefly that your prime minister was meeting with the queen to resign. Has that happened? Being a Canadian and part of the monarchy we are interested.

Hola musicman...yes it's happened, David Cameron (Conservative/Fascist) is now our new Prime Minister with David Clegg (Liberal Democrat) as Deputy PM...we have a coalition government because the result of our election was a 'hung parliament'. It's a damned odd mix of a government that hopefully will result in another Election within the year.

Incubus, thanks for the clarification on that. I try to avoid politics and all the bull shit but as I said it was on the news and being Canadian It caught my attention.
We in Canada are not much better off.

Are the people hoping for another election so soon? That becomes expensive in itself.

My condolences to the UK people. Fingers crossed it all works out in the end.

Scoote I had a problem with my phone for months. I must have put in 6 trouble tickets. I finally contact heads of dept and demanding they send someone out until it was resolved. Finally after 2 months they fixed it. I then called billing expecting a refund and they TRIED to give me 20 bucks. I told them they were out of their minds and that there was no way I was paying for service I didn't have. After an hour on the phone and speaking to supervisors I was credited for the whole two months i had crappy service. Don't take no for an answer. You should never pay for service you didn't get. There are laws protecting you from utilities. You just need to keep talking until they do it or file a complaint with your state.

I'm zooming through this morning too...grabbing coffee and food cuz I'm starvin". Had to take my car to the garage this morning :hospital-snoopy: ...the driver's side window got stuck in the full down position...not a good thing when it's cold and raining. While I was there I told them take a look at the door that won't lock from the little push button thingy (a technical term... :) )

End result...I'm in a loaner car and will be coughing up about $350 for my poor car. But...the locks and the window will work, so I suppose that's a good thing. :)

Just got a call from my old boss...she's in town and wants to take me to lunch. And....well...truth is I rarely turn down a free lunch...so I'm heading out in a bit to see her.

Freyja...feel free to smack Scoote for that wide-angle thing :giggle: I'm sure she didn't mean it THAT way, but still....

It's a serve-yourself situation...warm tortillas, sirloin sliced thin, shredded cheese, salsa....I can do the onions and peppers on the side since I'm not sure who's a veggie eater here and who's not...and I've got tortilla chips and my odd little corn-black bean-onion-salsa dip thing I make... :girleating:

Not sure what goes with that for dessert.....hmmmm.....
oooooooo I have an idea....how about some vanilla ice cream....and I'll make a nice hot topping of sliced bananas in butter, brown sugar and a shot of rum. Or there's homemade hot fudge for those that prefer it :eating:

Good morning everyone! Actually I'm up at 5:30am these days but just sitting down for my second cup of coffee. I tried to give coffee up along with a bunch of other things that were affecting my health but after 2 days I couldnt do it. :( It's definitely the highlight of my morning.

I have one of those Tassimo machines with the pods and have auto home delivery. I love this strong coffee African Kitamu. As my mom's says, "Daughter if it had legs it could walk."

So two cups a day. I try doing just one but it doesnt cut it. I also bought some decaf, those instant coffee's from Starbucks and they arent that bad but no where close to Kitamu. So I stopped drinking diet soda and thinking I can keep my Java.

I hate people that can drink coffee at night and still fall asleep! I'm so jealous! If I drink coffee after 3pm it affects my sleep. Of course I'm in bed at 9:30PM! lol

I love waking up early. I love mornings especially in the summer when its light early.

Sachita I swore I wouldn't be like my mother who would start a pot first thing in the morning and drink it until she went to bed at night.

Ugh! I am definitely my mothers daughter. I do just that. Well not always at night. I fedink it all day long at work. 3 of us chip in to buy folgers because they give us nasty bitter packaged coffee. We go thru 2 to 3 pots a day usually.
I'm like you I also go to bed at 930 and get up at 530.

Ugh its raining today and I wore my new sandals. Yucky!

Hope everyone has a good morning! Leaves a pot of fresh coffee on for whoever wants some.

How about starting with some nice fresh fruit? I've got cantaloupe and strawberries, some fresh blueberries, bananas....I could make a nice fruit salad. Or maybe I'll keep the blueberries out and make a nice batch of blueberry muffins with those....

Got the hashbrowns, bacon and eggs started....juice is squeezed....Dr Pepper chilling.....what else do we need?
