I personally like to read all your posts in this thread homoe.....

I can see why Chicago is so very special to you!

Your post about shopping at Macy's during the new year bedding sales, in particular. I love buying new sheets and comforters and bedroom clothing ideas!

In 1989, Carson Pirie Scott & Co. was acquired by P.A. Bergner & Co. founded in Peoria, who operated the Bergner's, Charles V. Weise, Myers Brothers and Boston Store chains.

We had Boston Stores in Milwaukee for years and years but I do believe they were sold to someone also.....let me check and get back to you :seeingstars:

Salty Tea Cup woo woo 👠

West of my home town, out in the charming neighborhood of St John's, is the cute little dress, cards, and gifts boutique called Salty Tea Cup. I like to buy clothing or pretty cards or even special jewelry at this boutique. What I like about their clothes is that they're made by independent clothing artists and can't be found in big department store chains or elsewhere. I like their business. Local independent business is a great way to find better quality clothing or gifts. I highly recommend this small boutique.

If you're flying into Chicago's O'Hare field and are unsure of what mode of transport to take to get downtown, by all means take the blue line El train that runs right under the airport terminal station! TRUST me on this, ESPECIALLY if it's during rush hour! As you go sailing past the "parking lot" of an expressway hopefully you'll remember this post and smile to yourself!

If you're heading to Chicago for Spring Break remember to keep this in mind!
