Watch a scary movie Carve a very scary pumpkin Watch football-GO GREENBAY! Make Applesauce Enjoy Haloween |
Fall...
The crunching of the leaves under my feet.
The color!! Reds, oranges, browns... Wearing fall clothes - boots, jeans, and sweaters. Red wine and fireplaces. Apple cider doughnuts. Cool nights. Little kids dressed in Halloween costumes. Big kids dressed in Halloween costumes. |
The crisp air, where you can almost see your breath.
Breaking out the fleece vests, sweaters, jeans, boots, and a beanie The dapple of color in the leaves and when a swift breeze comes, watching them fall from the trees. Knowing the "Season" has started. The smell of burning wood in the air. A full Moon on a chilly night. Sleeping sans pajamas, rolled up in a cool down comforter. Pumpkins!! |

I remember wearing a short red suede jacket w/ fringe sleeves , jeans. boots, brushing my horse and listening to the song "Crimson & Clover" with the scent of the pine trees on a perfect fall evening ~ that song always brings the fall and the scent of pine back.

Over the Top Veganized Cinnamon Pumpkin Waffles~
For Autumn
1. c. Flour 2. tsp. Baking Powder 1. tbsp. Sugar Whisk together. ~~~~~ Add- 1. c. Almond Milk 2. tbsp. Pumpkin Puree 1. tbsp. oil 1. tsp. Lemon Juice scant. 1/2. tsp. cinnamon pinch nutmeg Mix together but should remain a bit lumpy. ~~~~~ toppings: almond butter/peanut butter maple syrup whipped coconut butter cream(from can) toasted walnuts (finely chopped) Pour 1/2. cup of pumpkin batter for each section of waffle iron which has been prepared with a bit of vegan butter. Bake to the degree of crispiness you enjoy. On plate put a serving of waffles. Top waffles with cookie butter, almond butter, peanut butter or vegan butter. Then pour a bit of Maple Syrup on top of that, then Whipped Coconut butter (from can) the toasted walnuts & a sprinkle of cinnamon Super Amazing! [adapted from Liv B] |

Being out and about late afternoon, early evening and noticing it getting dark much earlier, the lights coming on across town, cosy looking houses and the odd early leaf floating down heralding the change in season.

Finally, I will be able to wear my hair down without sweating buckets or looking like I just came from a sauna.

It’s all about the temperature for me. They say how summer makes people happier in general. Well those cooler temps make me feel happier. I like Being outside in the fall and walking or riding (ATV’s) the trails.

Stock pilling sweets/candy and various goodies ready to make up my trick or treat bags, I know that`s technically Halloween but its something I do through the Autumn and I enjoy it so !

Today was a beautiful Fall day. The change in the weather has to be My favorite part of the season. It was overcast- temp was in the low 70's- and we had a pretty good wind throughout the day. I love watching the leaves fall from the trees and the wind catches them placing them all over the ground. I sat out on the porch earlier and enjoyed it all.
Tomorrow will be yet another Fall day. The high is only supposed to be 60 degrees. Wonderful!!! |

The smell of the air. The color of the leaves. The gloomy clouds, apple fritters, apple cider, pumpkin patches, smell of cinnamon and pumpkin and apple EVERYTHING, all the Fall decor. Did I mention pumpkins?

The golden hour when the sun is about to set and everything is bathed in a warm, burnished light, the temperature starts to drop and as the light fades and dusk approaches its time to light candles and get cosy for the evening.

Driving up into our yard with all the colors seemingly falling out of the sky and seeing wood smoke wafting out of the chimney.
