Loki complained bitterly about me sleeping in late. Too bad, fuzzball. I bring home the bacon. Me! He does have me trained to pet him before I go to the bathroom though. If I don't, he pesters me incessantly. Gracie was gracious in waiting for me to check the place, tilt the blinds the way I like, and get breakfast ready for them. Both cleaned their bowls, which disappointed Loki as he likes to finish her leftovers. Not today, buddy! It's a new year and there's no leftovers for you.

Tiny Dog fell down the stairs in the dark! Thank goodness she is okay. She had a badly needed toenail trim last night, and all I can think is it got her off balance.
Diva Kitty made an impassioned plea to be let outside. She usually doesn't pay much attention to the outside door. Spring must be on the way. (Although I think it's not even officially winter yet.) It was unseasonably warm today, though. |
Jinx got into the garbage as I was clearing out art junk while putting things in my new art desk. He also played in the plastic tubs, layed on the lids, and then layed on his back like an otter under my chair. He is so weird.

Loki has been crying more often lately. He's always cried for food and attention and he's very vocal but I think he's trying to tell me something else. I haven't figured it out yet, but I'm working on it.
Gracie has also been 'more' lately. More zoomies and more destruction to start. She goes after carpet corners and pulls them up as well as destroying the covered and stuffed bar stool that I "gave" her which I've given up on because both of them are using it as a scratching post despite it being sprayed with Scratch Not stuff and them getting squirted with the water bottle and them having...I shit you not....9 designated scratching areas, including the two cat trees that have multiple scratching posts and fabric surfaces. But, on the flip side, she's been more affectionate lately too. I've had cats, off and on, nearly my whole life. She's the strangest one yet. Cute, but very very strange. Currently, they are both napping after having torn the place up, running here and there and back again. |
Laid on the back of the couch in the sun.....all morning long.
I think he is really enjoying our quality time together at the moment. (Honestly, I kinda am too.) |
Gracie has been especially affectionate tonight. I like it!
|
Nothing so far other than wake up for breakfast, down it, then head straight back to bed. Well he should be worn out there's ample evidence this morning of him having stayed up dancing and prancing all night.
|
Currently, he is passed out. In the sun working on his tan. This was after me doing some cleaning and shaking out of both blankets and laundry and finding his collection of bones. Of course, he had to re-hide them ALL! :phonegab:
Before he could go down for another nap. |
=^. .^=
Simon, the sock snatcher, ripped up my bag of overnight clothes, last time I stayed with my bestie (sister-in-law), last week, and I thought he made off with my socks, but it turned out that I had them folded up and laid them on the sofa, but just forgot to put them in my newly torn up bag that Simon got ahold of.
In other news, the skunks who tore up my sister-in-law's property last summer, have come back to nest under their wrap-around porch, and sprayed both Simon and Toffee last night. Thankfully, Petunia (the cat) wasn't involved or affected this time (lol or not). Petunia will be coming to stay with me for two weeks while my bestie has their home owner's insurance vendor come back over to de-skunk their entire home and property. <<<<<<-- happy to babysit Petunia for a couple of weeks. *Maow-Maow* |
Tiny Dog has taken quite well to eating her new glucosamine/chondroitin tablets. Even though the label says they are "Tasty!", I think they look like chalk. Tiny Dog is such a good girl!
|
They acted like loons and zipped around like headless chickens interrupting my cleaning process until breakfast wore off so now they are napping and now I can eat my own breakfast and maybe get something done today.
|
It's been the usual here- Eat, sleep, sit in front of the computer screen for attention, out the cat door, sit around outside, check out the wildlife, maybe go for a walk in the woods, repeat.:rollcat:

Tiny Dog has started a twice-daily regimen of Bufferin. She gets a half Bufferin in the morning and a half at night. I've been watching her closely to make sure she doesn't vanish into a room for a few minutes to throw up. She seems to be okay so far.
It hasn't taken effect yet, but I expect to see some improvement by tomorrow. I bought her some special (expensive!) "pill pouches", which are moldable dog treats that you can wrap around pills. After having used them once, though, I am remembering that the last time I had to do this, I used bread. That will probably be better because it's bland; she liked the pill pouch so much that she tried to chew it, which kind of defeated the purpose. Diva Kitty remains fascinated with the outdoors. She hasn't made a break for it, though - thank goodness. She has been introduced to snow before, and didn't like it. We're supposed to get an inch and a half of snow tomorrow - maybe I will give her a reminder. (I won't do anything terrible! Of course not. I will just set her down - wearing a harness - on the carport at the edge of the snow. She will probably immediately whine to go back in, which we will do. I don't want to be out in the snow any more than she does.) |
I accidentally stepped on Tiny Dog's paw in the dark! I must have gotten it really bad, because it took her almost a whole minute to forgive me. It appears to be fine though, thank goodness.
Tiny Dog is also doing well on her new regimen of twice daily Bufferin. I tried giving it to her in a "pouch" of bread, and that did not work at all - she ate the bread and spit out the aspirin, quick as a flash. Guess I will continue to buy the expensive moldable treat pouches. |
learned how to go up and down their little steps

My dog loves her meds in a small piece of cheese. But it sounds like you have a smart little dog on your hands so it may not work. Just a thought. My dog played a little ball with my sister. Also because of the move there’s no fencing up yet so I let her go out on a 30 foot cable because she loves laying in the sun. Anyways..... she seemed to enjoy getting herself tangled around the deck numerous times. A bit annoying but she was amused I think. She would get tangled then stare at me until I untangled her. Within 30 minutes she was tangled again staring at me and wagging her tail. If it wasn’t for her cuteness I would have been very irritated. :) |

Gracie has been super affectionate and demanding of pets tonight and is only laying down where she can see me. Loki has been kind of 'eh' and is hogging the top of the new to them cat tree. They both love it so much! It was a good buy. |
Loki is the affectionate one this morning but that doesn't count because he's just ensuring his survival and that I will feed him. I've had to shoo him away from Gracie's bowl twice now. He gets so focused on eating her food that he will walk away from his bowl with food still in it.
Boy's got 99 problems (but a bitch ain't one....because he's a cat not a dog!). |
Won a staring contest with my Mom....Posey Spitfire, I am so proud of you. you did what I could not, out stare the woman.
