What brought me joy today....
My end of year evaluation at work! I sit down in the principals office and before she even hands me the evaluation to read she says, "You do know your the best thing since butter on bread? Right?" How do you respond to that? I was glowing instantly. My evaluation was amazing. It reads like the best letter of recommendation anyone could ask for. "Best para-educator I have ever worked with..." "I would take 10 of her..." "If she isn't rehired next school year we will be loosing a valuable resource" Its got me on the most wonderful high at the moment. |

On the heels of my post about how the town I live in came out as a local soldier was laid to rest ...
TODAY, a National Guard unit from here returned home after a year in Iraq. It was a moving thing. One of my high school friend's dad is in the unit, so it was good to see him back safe. |
Monthly dinner date with the Gin and Tonic Club...my two 80-something year-old (gay) friends.
All of a sudden, a DVD of this guy was being played: ...not sure about you all, but (virtual) pipe organ music makes me nervous. |
I just found out that the American Idol Tour is coming to My hometown in September ........... now, if only I can ever afford the tickets I'll be damned if I'll miss seeing Crystal in person :D

What brought me joy today...
Getting off work yesterday, changing into my bathing suit, pouring a glass of wine ~ and relaxing on my float in the pool. Talking on the phone for 2 1/2 hours last night with my best friend from High School, that I haven't seen or talked to in about 15 years. We are already making plans to get together one night next week. Waking up to the sounds of birds chirpping and the early morning sunshine peeking through my curtains. A yummy blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese... just the way I like it. |
