It's been a busy weekend...and no sleeping in *sigh* ...getting a lot done though and, yes, I did get to enjoy the pool. :) Definitely the highlight of the weekend on both days!

Bracing myself for a busy week...I leave for AZ again a week from today...and poor Scoote is going to have to get Rooster to the airport (ouch) since he's headed to NY for spring break. Feels weird to have him leave while I'm away, but I'm sure it'll go fine.

Any news on the job hunt Zimmy? Still have my fingers firmly crossed for you. :)

I bet the pool was wonderful.. what are the temps like? It is actually supposed to get close to 70 degrees here tomorrow.. although I think we are in for a bit of rain.. I know they are calling for thunderstorms on Tuesday.. I think Spring is finally here.

Hello My friend,

I know exactly what you are going through. I went through the same thing.. I had the surgery 4 years ago this year.. but I blew the disc 3 years before that. It was My L5... and it sat on My S1 nerve that runs down My left leg. The pain was unbelievable when it blew.. If you need to talk about it .. or get advice.. or just want to bitch.. just PM .. Me.. ok? I feel for you. It is hell to go through on so many levels.

I just checked the weather for tomorrow. ... and they are forecasting.. the uppers 70's.. which is beyond what they were looking at yesterday. However, up here.. as Jo well knows.. it can change in an instant. So I will believe it when I get up tomorrow and see it. If it does get up there.. I am going to spend some time at the Lake in the afternoon.. once I get some work done in the morning.

Thank you for the welcome back.. and you are welcome as to the meditations.. I will keep you both in them..

I hope you are able to get some rest tonight.. and Jo too.. it sounds like both of you need it badly.

Keep your heads up.. things will smooth out.. glad to hear that WC is not putting you behind an 8 ball on getting money to you and all of that.. that is a blessing indeed.

It's going to be another busy day in the Scoote/Jo household...running kids to school, tons of stuff for work to get ready for another AZ week and Rooster's trip to NY...

Thanks for sharing your "back trouble" issues with Scoote, Jake. It helps to hear what others have gone through. At this point, we're waiting to hear that they've approved the MRI and the consult with the neurosurgeon...and then we'll hear what they have to say. Luckily, the state of Florida seems to have an entirely different approach to workers comp than where she was before. It's nice knowing there's a government office that's ready to push back against the insurance company on your behalf. Being me, I'm not entirely trusting of any of them...and am still ready to go hire a seriously nasty lawyer if need be...but we'll give them the chance to do the right thing first.

Oh...and the "old" was definitely about the friendship, not the age! :cheesy: Having just turned 49 myself, far be it from me to call anyone "old" :|

Crossing fingers on that Bloomingdales job Zimmy...that would be fantastic! You'd just have to make sure you didn't have lots of spiffy new clothes and no paycheck after too much fun with the employee discount! :giggle:

Enjoy those daffodils Softness....that was always my favorite part of Spring. We're already in summer weather here....supposed to get to 92 today. I'm loving having a pool in the backyard now for sure!

I hope scoote has the same luck.. the surgeon makes all the difference... that is for certain. I agree as to the WC thing.. that is awesome that they stand behind the people that are covered.. virtually unheard of really... especially fighting against an insurance company. I hope you do not have to get nasty with them.. however, after the buying the house process.. I have every confidence you would kick some ass.. grins.

I actually slept last night, for the first time in I don't know how long, and am feeling a bit better as a result.

Woke up to put on the coffee and saw a dark shape, out of the corner of my eye, floating on the surface of the pool. At first I panicked, thinking one of the cats had fallen in and drowned. Rubbed my eyes, looked again, and realized it was two female ducks, paddling around and enjoying a nice bath. :)

The cats were fascinated...two watching from the very edge of the pool, and Gracie Ann (the psycho kitty) getting all scared and worried every time they moved...finally she jumped behind the short fence that surrounds two sides of the pool, and watched them through the slats. Too funny! I had the Prince take pictures, and even woke Scoote up to take a look. Her reaction? "Oh great, now we have duck poop in our pool." :giggle:

First, you are welcome.. and it does help to talk about it.. and you are definately not a wussy... yeah.. the WalMart thing.. was probably not a good idea.. I know you hate having to rest.. however, you NEED to .. because if you keep pushing yourself.. especially since you do not know the full extent of what is going to be needed in the way of surgery, etc.. you could end up doing yourself more damage.. and type the type that can not be repaired. So, try to take it easy..

I bet the ducks were having a grand time.. washing up in your pool.. grins.. too funny..

The weather up here is alot cooler than yesterday. However, it is not cold by any means.. and the it has been pretty windy today as well as yesterday.

Sounds like you had a good time.. meeting up with Zimmy...just take it easy.. (as I repeat Myself again.. laughs)..

Hope you find a good movie on Netflix.. let us know what you end up watching..

There is only one other person who could out talk me and unfortunately she is in Heaven. I had a blast last night meeting up with Belle and neither one of us, realized that we had been at that Starbucks for almost four hours. I have never had a ball and gag in my mouth, hehe...My freaky side is trying to come out...:blink:

Scoote, hope they get that MRI going and soon. Back pain sucks and it's one thing I wish never happened when that car hit me. I cannot wait until you and Jo Jo come back up to Orlando! I was nervous the night I met you all and that is why I talked so much, hehe.

Violane, thank you again for the HoneyDew melon! By the time I got home lastnight and went to bed it was 1am and I could not wake up this morning...I am going to miss the Tribute blend of coffee from Starbucks. I told Matt I bought another bag lastnight and he was like, "hell yeah!"

I had some vegetable sushi rolls today for lunch and now I am watching, "Murder She Wrote", on NetFlix.

Tomorrow is my interview with Bloomingdales and I am nervous. I ended up having to take the grey suit back to Macy's. The pants didn't fit me and my mom who is a seamstress, said that it would cost just as much I had paid for them to recut and hem the whole suit. I have a white and navy skirt suit that I am going to wear instead.

If I do get this job, then it is a true Godiva moment for all of us!

It's a good thing! Sometimes work is over rated and it took me having a nervous breakdown to realize it!! Go relax in your pool, I'm thinking of opening up the windows at the apartment. It is a very gorgeous day here in Florida...Lady Gaga is out in left field but I love her music.

How are you feeling today? I just left the Mall at Millenia, gas to pick up pantyhose for tomorrow. I'm now having a healthy lunch!

The weather has turned up here.. as it always does.. yesterday... it was shorts and t-shirt weather.... today it has turned colder and rainy. I do not mind the rain at all. However, the cold.. I am over it.

laughs @ the Lady GaGa thoughts. I agree.. she is pretty out there. However, did they did not think that of Madonna when she first came out? Look where she is now. Did you see Lady GaGa on the Grammy's? Now that was something.. arriving in an egg?? Then I believe she exited it on stage during the number she performed. I will give her this.. she is certainly creative.

How was lunch? .. more importantly .. did you find trouble elsewhere? grins.

Today is the day of my job interview and I am nervous and excited in the same sentence. Pantyhose are a horrible creation and I am trying to keep Athena from rubbing against them...

I am thinking of maybe biscuits with sausage gravy and eggs for breakfast today...Let's all live in a little...Matt used to work for Macy's which is Bloomies sister store and he said that if they call me back in for a second interview, then they liked me...

The pantyhose made the suit pop and wasn't to flashy. I just don't like how they make it so where you cannot move.

It is over cast right now in Orlando and muggy. Matt and I were supposed to take his BowFlex to my storage unit, but decided against it. Hope you two can get to the beach! Have fun tomorrow at the bowling alley, I cannot bowl to save my life...I found a recipe on the Food Network website for Raspberry French Crepes and I am thinking of making them..Bell is right, it doesn't sound hard to make them.:eatinghersheybar::wine:
