Keeping an eye on Monte. He's back from the vet, wearing the cone of shame and weaving all over the place. He's not trying to get at his drain port but I'm afraid to take the cone off because I think the way it's restricting his vision is keeping him from moving around as much as he'd like to which is a good thing. He tried to get in his cat box but wobbled so I helped him but then he made a quick exit, wouldn't go. They shaved off a much larger patch of fur than I expected, it looks so bad. Like right now click a picture, paste it on a donation jar and the sight of it seems so tragic, people would surely give and give until it hurts. But since I'm currently not dating any criminals to do that for me.........

Changed to dry clothes ... it came an all of a sudden bucket downpour while I was filling stump holes.

My dogs cracked me up. I practically have to shove them off the patio so they will go to the bathroom if it is raining When the rain came, I was soaked immediately so I kept on working until I noticed all three were down in the stumphole with me. They always like to be near me but with it raining so hard, I expected all three to be waiting on the patio to go in. We all went in then. There were pieces of sharp wood down in the hole ... worried a paw would get punctured.



Now I am sitting here reading at BFP and eating Mike & Ike Jelly Beans. They are snoozing on the bed. Everyone's content. :)

Procrastinating on doing some house work. Needs to get done cause I'm having a party next week, but I totally don't want to. Today is a day to curl up with a good book and watch the rain out of the window.

I'm thinking how long I plan to be in this bah humbug mood without snapping out of it. I'm making a list of things that may improve my mood:

Going to the gym, but first:
Joining a gym
Mowing the lawn
Using a semi legal herbal product
Having a late lunch
Taking a very long shower and exfoliating
Checking on the progress on the butch belly I've been growing
Packing up summer clothes
Burning a CD for my friend in Colorado
Brushing my kitties' fur

hmm... or maybe a nap

Working (at home) and celebrating National Chocolate Day by having a double chocolate muffin that came out of the baker's oven less than two hours ago.

I am laying in bed like I am a king with my cuddly kitties. It is good to be a king for a moment.

Right now, I am very worried about my dog Jeffrey. He sneaked off from Jennifer, Kevin and I four and a half hours ago. I have walked the woods, hunting property and ridden the roads calling his name and whistling as loud as I can. No sign of him anywhere. Will be dark in an hour. Coyotes, timber rattlers and other dangerous species will be hunting. My heart is heavy with fear for him. Jeffrey has to come home soon!!!

Jeffrey just came home at dark. I was so relieved and happy to see him, I got down on the ground, hugged him, kissed his face and bawled like a baby at the same time. He was gone five and a half hours on an adventure to who knows where.

I cannot explain the stress the darkness brought on me. I know what is in these woods and comes alive after dark. I have been wearing snake boots all day because it has been unusually warm today for November.

Jeffrey sure was thirsty but he is fine. I am putting a 5 pound sirloin roast in the oven now for the three pooches' late dinner. :)

Listening to music and wrapping up school chapter work for the week.

Procrastinating... I don't want to start today.

Finally laying down...old furbaby curled up near me, Crate training: new pup quietly sleeping in his crate next to my shoulder (YAYYYYY, it only took one night)...3 other furbabies asleep in their crates in various spots in the room...
Right now what I'm doing is enjoying the quiet. Except for Star Trek Next Generation playing as white noise (my back turned to TV) and hearing Blade's TV from the other room playing the news.

Unpacking and trying to figure out dinner.

I just took a shower and now I am steaming my clothes for tomorrow.

Finishing up some work items I hadn't completed...I've been online and it was an exercise in patience to stay focused on the tasks at hand instead of playing on social media...now here to see what I missed...lol

Sipping coffee, listening to John Denver, getting ready to work out, thinking about what to wear to work.

Working? Using that term lightly, it's a very slow day in my office. Chatting with a colleague about our textiles club and when we will meet again. Looking like maybe Sunday!

My dad is hard of hearing and refuses to get a hearing aid.
