http://www.joanwong.com/blog/wp-cont...30814_blog.jpg Just a lil food for thought! How it is possible to imagine that a religion breathing the spirit of mercy and benevolence, teaching the forgiveness of injuries, the exercise of charity, and the return of good for evil, can be so perverted as to breathe the spirit of slaughter and persecution, of discord and vengeance, for differences of opinion, is a most unaccountable and extraordinary phenomenon. Still more extraordinary, that it should be the doctrine, not of base and wicked men merely seeking to cover up their own misdeeds, but of good men, seeking the way of salvation with uprightness of heart and purpose. It affords a melancholy proof of the infirmity of human judgment, and teaches a lesson of humility from which spiritual pride may learn meekness, and spiritual zeal a moderating wisdom. |

The Weather Channel has something called Tor/Con (for tornado conditions). It is a rating of the chances any city will get a tornado within 50 miles. Nashville is at a 7. Tuscaloosa, AL has an 8. Some places in Mississippi have a 9. Ahh technology, what would we do without it? Living in Alabama.

I got in trouble friday, supposedly losing too much weight :argue:...
Dietitian even said they'll turn a blind on some foods I shouldn't have as long as I take my binders while eating or immediately after [which I do anyways] ~mimic jackjackjack~ I ignore it mostly, why? 4 Years ago? Verbatim "You're somewhat Big, and you have to lose a little for Transplant" "Are you saying I'm obese?" "No, just, a bit over the required weight" :brainsucker: My relatives keep bringing up anorexia.. ~waves 'em off~ |
I got to sleep in this morning and I dont work until this afternoon. I got to drink coffee and I spammed the galllery...LOL, maybe I better go back to work.

Lady Pamela, I loved your post. I wish there was a religion that was 100% true. :candle: |

Thank you. But what I will tell you to that is this. Be true to yourself...You do not need an organized religion to be faithful and feel a part of something. If you choose to go this is fine...but remember...worship comes from within...not from a building...Understand? |

This is very good advice :) |

To truely believe in yourself is to trust that what comes from within you. And know that the information you recieve is from a deeper conciousness than on day to day analitical level.. Believe in all which can not be broken down into a lie. If something is of pure truth, it can not be broken down or will not fade. To be spiritual does not mean you need to follow another persons path. If you choose to share, fine. But know you are a spiritual being all on your own. Be true to yourself first and foremost in all things. And all things good will follow! |

Lady Pamela, Yes I understand. I think it is your soul that you are referring too. My faith is outdoors, during all seasons. I find it in the seashells I find, or the fish I catch and then release back. We are all creatures of our higher power's thought & imagination. And it is continuing on today, and really every day. I find comfort going outdoors and watching boats going and coming. I marvel at the current of the water. The spray that flies up. And marvel in all of the life that comes alive in the springtime. Life abounds. I do believe in myself, and value my being or spirit. I know rejection first hand by my parents. I know what the difference is between a false person and a true friend. That is why I am grateful for the good friends I have. We have been friends for over 20+ years. However, with this little medical issue that has popped up, we will see what happens as each day unfolds. |
While attempting to walk my :dog: (I say attempting because it's not easy to walk when one has a hurt ankle and foot), I came across a swirling mass of knats. While attempting to avoid swallowing one I held my breath while walking around them. However, I then couldn't breathe (which often happens when one holds ones breath), panic ensued, I let out my breath only to suck one of the little monsters in.
The best laid plans and all that. *blink* |
Duck and run.
