Galahad 10-10-2010 08:08 AM

Lipstix, Hope the new internship is fun and you get to jump in and do lots of learning and practice. You know your stuff, it's time to use it.
I'm enjoying a quiet early, early morning. Nightmares again. Almost time to quit playing around and do laundry and housework and study for midterms.

Have a great week everyone.

Jet 10-10-2010 09:49 AM

its art tutorial for the next 30 days as die hard print designer (yours truly) goes virtual. Meantime, enjoying incredible weather in A-Town

Jet's Diet

I shopped for my weight loss regimen which is 50% protein, 30% carb and 20% fat. I'll do this for one month.

FAT Loss Phase 1

Today is an example:
breakfast (never skip this meal)
Scrambled eggs, cottage cheese
half a grapefruit

protein snack: Options: Drink or protein bars, nuts, string cheese

Lunch
BLT with turkey bacon
and deviled eggs which I make with cottage cheese, lowfat Mayo and
mustard

Snack: protein snack: Options: Drink or protein bars, nuts, string cheese

Tonight
leftover chicken stir fry made with brown rice
Gazpacho
1 100-calorie Thomas English muffin
protein drink

Phase II Energy
Next month: 50% carb, 30% protein, 20% fat

3rd month:
Phase III Endurance

I do high impact excercies. After my weight stabilizes, in 3 months or so, I'll go back to weight training with my gym and weight sets.

Stuff:
Always cook with olive oil (the cheapest and the greenest)
and Canola oil
Drink skim milk
Use sweeteners
never get Fat Free, just get 1/3 fat or low fat
Use egg whites instead of the yolk
Walk judiciously
Eat within the same time frames every day

Sounds good to me and I didn't know that they had low cal English muffins...good to know

LipstickLola 10-10-2010 06:43 PM

With the crazy shifts I work, eating at the exact same time is really difficult, but I know how important that is. I have a "cut-off" time though for sure, whether a regular meal has been eaten or not.

I'm a carboholic (is there a thread for that?) :seeingstars: When I do mostly protein in balance with the other stuff, I feel so much better, but I get off track easily, cake anyone?

This lofter can't do high impact. But the gym is paying off :)

dating etiquette

How often do you have to remind someone of a "date" ? Was arranged almost a month ago for a great concert. It's an hour away so I called the night before and it's forgotten. I "should have called earlier." I don't ask anyone out often enough, so I had no idea. What do you do? How often do you call and remind someone of the date?

I dont know what you do, but i would never make a date that far in advance unless I knew someone well.

Galahad 10-11-2010 09:58 PM

For an important concert? They only come around every two years or so. Made the date as soon as I found out about it.

Anyway, how often do you call? I don't want to be a pest about it. We called or visited only once a month or so previously.

X'cuse me for butting in, but where are your 5-7 servings of green things? Half a grapefruit is some Vit C. Realize this is a special diet, but you need those green leafy veggies every day!:mohawk:

I only posted a sample of one day. I'm not going to post the whole thing. Green leafy veggies is in lunch and dinner on most every day following

I only posted one day to give an idea of portions/percentages of protein, carbs and fat. Today I had a chefs salad for lunch and tonight I'm having brussel sprouts.
