Hola Kitcheneers how's it hangin' where you are?

It's evening for me so I'll leave this 6-pack of Peroni and a multi-bag of Seabrooks crisps for after dinner when y'all want to chill out.

All settled in at Mrs.I's place and pretty much packed for our weekend away at the Hot rod Hayride.
http://www.hotrodhayride.com/index2.html
All that's left for me to do is shave my head and make sure that everything is in order to load the car and go in the morning. I'm not a morning person so everything has to be left 'ship shape' this evening so that I don't need to think in the morning. We're leaving early so as to avoid getting caught in Friday afternoon traffic on the notorious M25 (London Orbital road)

Incubus is a gay event I looked at their website and it looks fun, are you staying in a cabin or camping out, I guess it would be too cold to camp out in England with the weather being a bit chillier then the USA.

But hey have fun and you are shaving your head??:|

Well have fun with Mrs. Incubus I will be at the internship site tomrorrow all day!!

It will be a very hetero event Lips, that's the nature of the rockabilly scene. It'll still be fun although, Mrs.I and me will no doubt be a little bit 'exotic' in our queer way. We will be camping for the weekend it's in the 20's (degrees that is) over here and forecast as decent weather weekend.

Does the internship still suck? Have they given you anything interesting to do yet Lips?

lipstixgal 07-29-2010 12:56 PM

No nothing at the internship is good, just boring fucking paper work that's all. Tomorrow I am going to ask if I can sit at the checkout desk and learn it and the front desk too, its says it in our paperwork that we have to learn to greet patients etc etc etc

Sunday is good though get to work on patients at a health fair taking BP's vitals finger sticks I think!!

So this shindig is straight and you and Mrs. I will be the queer couple , oh well how does the people of England take on the gay community? Because you know here in the US its a different story all together especially if you live in the MIdwest, Southwest parts of it and deep south like Louisana, Missisippi, and I don't know about Florida there are gay places in Floriida but NY is very gay friendly and so is parts of NJ but not where I live its very hetero, catholic and conserrvative!! Have fun you two.

These folks are failing you Lips, have you spoken to the folks that can make it change? If so then speak to the folks on the next rung of the hierarchy and see what they can do. Just keep going higher up the chain of command.
England's take on the gay community in my own experience is pretty good, I've not experienced homophobia in a big way personally. But I know that's not the case for everyone and it can vary from place to place. These folks are 'alternative' so I expect they'll be quite cool with the queer, butch/femme couple. :cheesy:

hah! Pretty much the whole of the world drives on the opposite side of the road than we do here. We're just expressing our *coff* 'individuality' :sunglass:

i have been to a lot of rockabilly shows here (RevHo, Hillbilly Hellcats, SCOTS) in Houston and i have never had any trouble for being visibly gay (visibly gay mostly b/c drunkly amorous lol)

These people are definitely failing me I want to talk to the dean of the school about it on Tuesday but she wasn't there. The Dean would be the highest up on the rank and file list. I spoke to the career associate Celeste Glouster she said they hire our students...I was no way I don't want the god damn job for all the money in the world. Besides I'm moving to a warmer climate for my health its too cold here in NJ for me and my asthma and arthritis!!

I told Beth that I want to learn more and she was like ok lmao ok so I don't know what to think. I will see tomorrow if they let me learn the checkout desk and the front desk where they greet the patients!!

I'm really anxious to get done and move already sick of NJ and the people!! WE have so many minorities here that to get anything Kosher I have to go to a store in a whole another town which is 15 minutes away from me...also to get anything organic I have to go to paramus which is about the same distance but the traffic is terrible OMG UGH!!

WEll its 5:45 pm I have to get ready for school so everyone have a good night!!

See you later,

Gail

Yea, what she said! :cheesy:

Good monring everyone :)

I'm actually having a heck of a monring today...woke up from crazy dreams, got a frustrating email from our realtor...just feeling stressed overall. Ugh. Thank goodness it's Friday at least.

:chef2: What's for breakfast? The son requested scrambled eggs with minced onion and chopped up kielbasa this morning. Sounds odd, tastes great. :eating:

Hope everyone has a great day...I'm hoping mine turns around sound.

:lips: baby.... :stillheart:
