To Duchess
You're batting a 1000 today, Duchess. Great classics and great taste in music. If you ever have a chance to hear Sinatra with Benny Goodman doing Where or When please listen. I mention it because it has the same kind of beauty on par with The Way You Look Tonight. It's older though, on the Columbia recordings in the late 30s before he joined Dorsey's band. But the digital remastering is very good.
I don't think anybody could ruin Where or When or The Way You Look Tonight and so many have done either/or through the years including George Michael who does a great version of Where or When. I like and have most versions of both songs but I just really like Sinatra and Goodman together. Great choice of music today. Sidebar: I saw Sinatra in the 80s; he's still the most eloquent performer I have seen to this day. |
