sigh....I often can't believe that I get paid to do this...

and....

talking to my brother....it gave me a much needed boost...Ive been terrible homesick for my family...especially since today is my baby sister's birthday....

Seeing my family talk about missing me. It's hard growing up and moving away sometimes.

Spending ALOT of quality time with my godfather! Watched football, had some good grub and beer. Talked a bit about life and such.

What a beautiful cool morning... and a bunch of tiny hummingbirds are swarming and swabbling over the new feeders. I love listening to them.

Booking first class train travel for the weekend...for some reason, at times I want to travel at, first class was cheaper than standard. Most odd. I'm not complaining though. :D

Feeling appreciated. I know it isn't up to someone else to " make" me happy, but it is nice to feel someone values time with me and cares about my happiness. :rrose:

The other day I was driving home and was in a queue to go over the toll bridge. I paused to let a driver pull out from a side road in front of me and then thought no more of it. When I reached the toll booth the attendant refused my coin. I looked surprised and he explained that the driver in front had already paid for me.

It's not often that someone surprises me like that and although it wasn't a big amount, the thoughtfulness behind it meant a lot to me.

I got a voice mail from my boss saying she needed to speak to me and be "proactive" about a couple things.....

I dreaded calling her back....thinking it couldnt possibly be anything good. Well, I called and all she wanted was to remind me that this family loves me SO MUCH that it was important for me to remember and enforce boundaries....which I already have...but its good to know they are as happy with me as I am with them :)

I perused my local library for the first time today and found great books and a couple movies....and there was something about learning languages but I forgot to ask what it was about. Friday I will return and we shall see.... Libraries have been a happy place for me since forever :)

and...... I woke up to the sweetest furriest happy face this morning. How can anything be wrong when that happens..... :)
