I don't deserve it. I NEED it now.
OMG! I put an apostrophe in "its"...over and over and over again! :|
I need chocolate now, Gemme, and milk chocolate at that! Shoot me now! I |

AND you dangled your 'I' too. Consecutive sentences! No milk, chocolate or otherwise, for you! How about an espresso shot? |
As for the exercise stuff, I'm still on the back burner. My neck was poked and prodded and massaged with some nice smelling oil by my chiro today and I was given a couple more stretching exercises to do. It feels better but is still sore and tight.
If I forgot to mention it earlier, my upper body (neck, shoulders and upper back) has freaked out on and off for the past two weeks, making exercise other than walking a bit difficult. Hopefully, things will iron out and all these whatknots will loosen up. This is not how I prefer my kink, thankyouverymuch. :eyebat: As a side note, keeping a lid on my cravings has been tough and I've given in plenty of times but I'm happy to report the needle on the scale hasn't moved much. Just about a pound and a half...totally within my normal day to day fluctuation range. A small win, but I'll take it. I can't wait to get back to working so hard I have to peel the spandex off like a banana. Oh, and I found red velvet cookies with white macadamia nuts. Eeep. |

But look at that! I DID dangle an "I". I never thought I had anything to dangle. This definitely cures my dangle envy. And ooooh....isn't it the cutest little dangler? :) Off to do my planks! |
I did 30 minutes on the stair master (50/65 intervals) and then 15 minutes weight lifting and 15 minutes stretching. I'm in between summer school ending and regular school starting so I'm looking forward to going to the gym or the park most days until I leave for Fire Island on the 22nd.

After running call after call and getting off hours late from work, I was easily ready to throw in the towel to head directly home. Despite being exhausted, I pushed through it and held true to no excuses. I worked out for 30 Minutes on the elliptical random/reverse mode level 10. I wasn't able to do the full hour today with getting off so late and having to be back first thing/ wee hours of the morning..important thing is I went for the time I did have :)

Yay, I'm finally back at the gym today after a couple of weeks off. Energy levels are on the up and only two weeks left of my juice fast. Still taking slow so I can still function in the real world, started with weight training the upper body with high reps but low weights and finished with 45mins moderate cycle on the recumbent bike....it's good to be back :)
|
Today I went to the gym to make up for shorting myself yesterday. I did 10 mins on the elliptical hill climb mode. I also did a 50 min Zumba class :). . Tomorrow I'll be back on schedule.

I was too tired today to exercise so I took a nap and then went to the gym :)
I did 30 minutes on the stair master (50/65 intervals), 15 min. leg, back, and ab exercises, and 15 min yoga. I continue to be stressed out as my new cat Cheerio recovers from heart surgery, and the gym routine is keeping me from losing my marbles! |

I can turn my head without excruciating pain!
Sometimes, it's the little things..... |
Yesterday: 30 min. Stair Master (55/65 intervals), 15 min. leg exercises with leg weights, 15 minutes glorious stretching
Today: same routine with stair master, 15 min. weight lifting, 15 min. yoga I had a stressful night because Cheerio had to go to the doc again today to make sure her ulcer secondary to anesthesia during her heart surgery was healing. Thank goodness it is. I was worried about her sutures rupturing in the whole process but luckily she was okay. I wish I could explain everything to her so that she'd come out from under the bed. The exercise continues to keep me centered during this hard time. |
One lap at a time
Putting one foot in front of the other and rebuilding body strength by going to the pool. It hurt, but the outcome will be worth it. :rrose:

I made it through one week of daily yoga practice and haven't felt this Gumby-ish and good in a very, very long time. Besides the physical, I have noticed a mental benefit (besides relaxation). When I started at the beginning of the week, I had a lot of fears and "you can't"s in my brain. They went like this:
"You are going to fall if you stand on one leg" "You are going to get stuck" "You can't balance on a ball" "You can't lay on a ball" and so on. Despite being checked out medically and even encouraged to do this, I would stop if something was going to "hurt my back" or "I'll fall"-according to me. Today I went into class and decided that I wouldn't stop for one of those "I can't"s. If something hurt, then yes, but nothing has ever hurt in a bad way so far. I wanted to see if my body would do what I wanted, if I didn't shut it down with "I can't". In one hour, I found I can stand on one leg/balance on my sitbone/put my feet on the floor behind my head (laying down)/get into a stretch and not get stuck. I wish the instructor had done the big ball, because I was on fire. This makes me wonder what other "I can't"s lurk in the recesses of my mind. |
Today I walked and mainly stair-stepped (1800 stair steps) in Riverside Park for 2.5 hours. Numbers nerd in da house :)
