Good morning DapperButch. I am not much of a cook, but I am a really good at eating :) I will tell you what I know about gravy. There are lots of gravies out there, but mostly 2 when it comes to biscuits, The ever popular sausage like Bob Evan's and there is Red Eye gravy served at Cracker Barrel that ham dripping are used in making the gravy. I prefer the sausage gravy:)

This sounds heavenly yummy! :eating: I'm up before the rest of the house, got coffee going....and now hear the Rooster moving around. He and I are the early risers...Scoote and the Prince sleep in and are more the nightowls (although Rooster was up late last night....I'm surprised he's up quite so early).

I finally convinced Scoote to go skinny-dipping in the pool with me last night....and she liked it! The cats, who sat on the side and stared at us, thought we were a little odd though. :giggle:

I'm off to fill my cup....hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. :)

good morning right back at you. Jo said this was totally ok.....that Jo's kitchen is real casual......I love how everyone helps clean up too!

In real life, I am roasting coffee beans out on my deck. The roaster can put off alot of heat, anyhow, it is a wonderful smell. As my neighbors wake up and smell the beans roasting (this always makes me smile) they yell over.....are you making espresso too? or do we have to drink store bought coffee? (then they give me sad eyes) I always share. Deck to the left and the right of me have espresso/latte and all.... including me, are reading with laptops....no one is talking........one more neighbor to wake, but he was at the Taylor swift concert last night.....(he's my favorite neighbor) a little bit modern day hippy, vegan and a good guy :-), I'll have an IV bag of espresso and Mt. dew set up for him when he gets up around noon....lol

What a way to start sunday, nice and slow!

Have a great day, enjoy your vacation Jo and company!

Vacation Time..Yeah for you

I've been to the Bahama's and want to go back. I loved the hang gliding excursions. It was an awesome experience. Now off to work, the real world just interferes with daydreaming.

Good morning, I'll put the coffee on. Have a great day. I bet some other folks are doing just that on vacation!

Zimmeh 06-21-2011 07:12 AM

Good Morning Everyone,

Thank you OS for the coffee! I got home around 12:45a lastnight and slept until 8am. I am having my first cup of coffee and had my usual breakfast of Greek Yogurt.

Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday! I had to give a witness statement yesterday in regards to how my supervisor talked to another employee. When I came back from dinner lastnight, she was cleaning out her desk. Which means, she either was demoted or fired.

Have a great day!

I'll take you up on the offer of a cup of coffee! Since you cooked, I'll clean up. Have fun at the reunion tonight.

Isn't there a house guest here? I better be quiet, and not run the dishwasher........:seeingstars:

Andrea 06-22-2011 08:30 AM

I would love a cup of creamer with a bit of coffee and a Belgium waffle with fruit please. So nice of you to offer, Zimmy.

Since YB has already offered to clean up today, I will sign up for tomorrow's kitchen duty.

It is going to be another hot day here so all of my plans are inside things. Maybe in the hottest part of the day we will watch one of the movies we borrowed.

Zimmeh 06-22-2011 10:30 AM

Your welcome and how about a chick flick?

I'm watching a National Geographic documentary on NetFlix and I'm thinking of taking a nap.

Have a great day!

OS Butch 06-23-2011 06:44 AM

Good morning and coffee is on! I bet this week is flying by for those lucky to be on vacation:)

I was very busy yesterday and didn't have a chance to come by. Hi Zimmy, Andea,Yellow band, amnesia.bfp( that is a hoot!) and all those stopping by.

Zimmy, and all, please call me Joan or Jo, I came out:)

Zimmeh 06-23-2011 07:50 AM

Good Morning Joan,

Good Morning and thank you for the coffee! How about some sharp cheddar cheese omelettes with turkey bacon on the side for breakfast?

I most of the day yesterday, cleaning out my storage unit and then I took a nap after eating lunch. I then started cleaning the apartment and unloaded my car once it cooled off.

Have a great day; I have my alumni dinner tonight and we have a lot of stuff to finish before then.

Zimmy

Andrea 06-23-2011 08:19 AM

Thank you for the coffee, Joan. Zimmy, I am never going to get back to my fighting weight if I keep enjoying your breakfasts. Yummie!!

Yesterday was more about recovery than I had thought I needed, so almost nothing got done. Today I will be making up for that AND I am looking forward to it. I am a make a list and get it done type of person normally.

Don't forget I signed up for kitchen duty this morning so when all the breakfast preparation is done, I will be back to tidy up.

kitchen inspection

being the drill sargeant that I can be, I thought I'd check on the kitchen. Looks Nice in here........Jo stays on top of things, I'd hate to have her kitchen trashed since she is nice enough to invite us in anytime.......

I did pick four newspapers up in the front lawn, (ooops)
Anyhow. I set that fancy coffee maker she has for coffee at 6 a.m., the coffee will go right into a thermos, so it'll be nice and hot as we mosey in tomorrow. OK all, see you tomorrow!:byebye:

Dominique 06-24-2011 04:59 AM

I grabbed the paper!

Am I the first one here? coffee sure smelled good when I walked in. I am enjoying a cup now.

Since it's Friday......it should be fun FRIDAY!....I am making healthy bananna nut muffins (I'll skip the details so you"ll eat them) and cutting up fresh fruit.

This is Baseball weekend for me, so I'll be sitting at the end of the counter
reading about the potential match ups on the mound. I'll read the newspaper........and no comments about my wild-ass hair!

Come on in, Jo likes her counter to be full......(I have yet to see the house sitter.......do you think it's that person running around here with the bag on their head?)

OS Butch 06-24-2011 06:42 AM

Good morning Yellow band. It does look like you the first one in the door:)

Good morning!!

Oh how I love the smell of fresh brewed coffee. Thank you YB.

Looks like my honey wants me to make breakfast at home this morning since I woke to find all the fixin's for fried potatoes laid out.

I get the entire day all to myself, which is very unusual. I find I get lots more stuff done when it is only me in the house (well, me and the cats). I am very excited and have my to do list up and ready to start crossing things off as soon as Rene hits the road.

Zimmy, how did your speech go last night?

Yippie for NY!!!

JustJo 06-25-2011 09:35 AM

Good morning everyone! :cheesy:

Thanks for the coffee, and for keeping the kitchen so nice while we were away! :)

We got home late last night and are moving slow this morning....luckily no one needs to work, so we can take it easy. At some point I'll have to unpack suitcases and get the laundry going...but that's about all the productivity I have planned.

The Bahamas was beautiful. We ended up in a single room instead of a suite (which equals crowded and hectic when there are 4 people, including 2 teenage boys), but we had the most gorgeous view of the ocean....lots of fun in the pool and "The Current" (a lazy river with rapids and a wave machine)...and an amazing interaction with Meg, a 14 year old Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin and her adorable 4 month old baby Maru.

We also (unbeknownst to us before we left) had a service day for the Salvation Army and a few childrens' homes there....painting, assembling bicycles, landscaping, etc. done by about 150 Papa Johns' volunteers. We mostly painted (outside in 95 degree weather...sweat, sweat, sweat)....but it was good for our kids to get an up close and personal view of exactly how fortunate and blessed they are....and even better to see the faces of about 175 kids who each got presented with a brand new bicycle of their own. :)

I'm off to get the laundry going....but I'll be back! Hugs to you all. :gimmehug:

Good morning and happy Sunday morning :)

Coffee is on...maybe a big cup will help poor amnesia remember who they are :cheesy:

http://coffeechat.org/wp-content/upl...ffee-maker.jpg

We had a completely lazy day yesterday....did a little laundry and watered plants, but otherwise sat on the couch, watched TV, snacked...and I got ambitious enough to make spaghetti (with sauce from a jar :giggle:) for dinner. My goal for today is to be a little bit more productive....we'll see!

Rooster's been up since 7....I slept til 9....and Scoote and the Prince are still snoozing. :alarm: Too bad poor Scoote has to work a few hours tonight...I'm sure she'd rather take it easy.

Hope you all have a great day! :gimmehug: Here's a little breakfast to get you started...
