Hey....I think...since it's friday, we should have that little party we've been talking about....crank up the music....maybe we can get Musicman to do a little of this :crowd-surf: :cheesy: Hmmm....now I have to think about party food....a litttle tapenade, maybe some nice cheeses....oh oh oh ...I know...how does everyone feel about fondue? Not only is it hot melty cheese (always a good thing), but if you drop your bread or other dunkable in you have to :kissy: someone! We could do chocolate fondue for dessert too....with chunks of pound cake, strawberries, fresh pineapple....mmmmm..... I'm thinking there is going to be a lot of articles of food dropped in the fondue (just thinking) ESPECALLY if having to kiss someone is the punishment :) :) :) i will try my darnedest to not drop anything in the fondue but I have a feeling i'm going to have the shakes tonight ;) Jo, i think I am as busy as poor Scoote is these days. The fondue is bubbling away...and I've been busily cubing some beautiful french bread and lightly blanched veggies for the dipping. Remember...if you drop your food in the fondue you have to :kissy: someone else....so spear carefully (or not :winky: ) I've got a few bottles of white zinfandel chilling...but feel free to bring a favorite if you prefer. Dessert is chocolate fondue (with a teensy shot of Grand Marnier just cuz)...with pound cake, strawberries, fresh pineapple and bananas for the dunking. There are fresh raspberries too, but they don't dunk well...so feel free to dip up some chocolate and drizzle on those. :girleating: :eating: Fresh pot of coffee is on :bringcoffee: and the Kahlua, Baileys and Grand Marnier is on the tray too....cuz hey...it's Friday :cheer: |

Ok, so I just watched this weeks Private Practice and balled like a baby.... Now I need to see next weeks Greys Anatomy! Ohh my gosh the commercials make me crazy cause I wanna see it NOWWWWW!!! So, Daddy got offered the job he applied for! He starts Tuesday! I looovvveee the fact that their schedule backfired on them... his 2 week notice will have him off 7 days during his 2nd week (insert snicker here) so he gets to work one week early for his new job while giving 2 week notice to his current job!! YEAHH!!! Its full time, insurance is 1/3 what it is costing him now... I am so excited for him!! It is 2nd shift so I may be haunting this thread at night.. I feel right at home here... thanks for having such a comfy place to sit and rest... and eat! Oh, and listen to musicman when he is able to play... Becca |

congratulations to you Daddy on the new job...i wish i could get one,but hard to make what i do with a somewhat flexible schedule anywhere else..*shrugs* and i think this thread needs some more nighttime action..and it is warm every night so im thinking swimming pool,jacuzzi,a fire pit,good company every now and then:weedsmoke: life would be even better whatcha think honey? |

scootebaby sometimes it takes what works best for you with your job even if it isnt ideal... Damon's job is part time and they keep cutting his hours and his insurance is outrageous... So now he can work full time and less for insurance!! YEAH!! and jacuzzi, cookout fun night stuff sounds awesome!! Thanks... Oh, and yes you can call me Becca!! |

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I'd like that with strawberries. Or cherries. Or..oh what the hell those things called?...pixy sticks. I find it in oriental foods. Thin bread wafer with...something on the end. It's yummy. And yes, I do assume the job is full-time. *shrugs* That's what we discussed. Didn't occur to me to double check. However, at work today, my now former supervisor got immense amusement out of the week off at the end of my notice. And asking LOTS of questions about FTM. :| :| :| It kinda made me nervous. Being a catholic place and all... Hmm...could use something sweet now. |

THAT is an interesting story. When I was hired by my current company, it was under the assumption it was full time. About 2 hours after I got the job, I was told there was a mix up, but not to worry cuz I would get 64 hours a paycheck (2 wks). So I wasn't too worried. MBE noticed that they cut me down from 8 days to 7. That may not seem much on the scheme of things, but, my ins costs me approximately $250/mo. Therefore, approximately 1 day a week, I worked for free. Well, for my ins. My ADON insisted I requested a couple of days off, when I did not. I get every other weekend off. And she put me in for days off before that. Thus, a week vacation that I didn't want. When the ADON was asked about this, because I was not the only one (one of my coworkers received at least 10 days off), we (part-timers) were told "we have to fit you in where we can around full-timers." :| :| We have 3 full-timers. We have 6 part-timers. We're short staffed most days. Yet they cut hours. |

My tummy is still a little upset... Damon was gonna take me out for ice cream but think its best to wait until tomorrow.. We have the weekend together!! YEAHHHH... Not sure how much I will see him when his job starts.. we dont know the schedule yet... so I am going to enjoy the entire weekend!! |

I was horizontal and out early last night. It sounded like everyone had a good time. One of my favorite things is someone bringing me a wonderful cup of coffee in bed, a back rub and breakfast. I had a lover once that did this for me every morning. Too bad the "other" things weren't quite as nice, however dont think I didn't let it drag on! lol
Mornings are my favorite time. I brought my fountain from the back deck to the front porch. I have a door w/screen from my bedroom to the front porch. I can now open the door and hear the water falling. It's a beautiful thing. Scoote there are ice cream places everywhere in Florida. They are across the street from all the liquor stores. Have you two spent much time in Florida before deciding to live there? A good part of the year its awful hot. I'd love to have two places- one in Adirondacks and another maybe SC by the beaches. |

As always, breakfast served by musicman is the best. Mmmm - Mmmmm *smacks lips* yes, this is also the "chocolate room" LOL My strawberries turned out fabulously, omg, and the first thing into my mouth this morning was one of those sweet babies. *smacks lips* The sun rose today in full glory and right now, all is quiet in my world. Save for some chirping birds and the scream of a seagull. Musicman - i bet you were pooped last night. i missed the festivities myself. Being an early riser, it also comes with early departure from the awake world. i need a woman's dance that begins at 4 pm LOL (don't laugh, i'm soooooo serious!) Will gladly help you out this morning for a music selection. If the peeps don't mind my selection of get up and dance tunes. i'm just that kinda gal. becca that is fabulous about Damon :cheerleader: Enjoy your special weekend. How is your garden coming along? I am still here in my room looking at my pictures of Paris and daydreaming about going over there one day. I had a house full of people yesterday and my best friend's little boy has kept us both up Thursday. For some reason, he is still not sleeping through the night and since his room is next to mine, I hear him when he gets up at 12:40am and 2:30am. I went back to bed after she left for work yesterday and I slept until 8:30a, whoopps. I am glad that she is off tomorrow, but I have to take my phone to the Apple store in Orlando to see if they can fix it. When I call someone, they sound like they are under water.
