"Jumping Out Of The Frying Pan And Into The Fire"....



The phrase out of the frying pan into the fire is used to describe the situation of moving or getting from a bad or difficult situation to a worse one, often as the result of trying to escape from the bad or difficult one.

'All's Fair In Love & War'............



Meaning in situations of love and war you do not have to obey rules of reasonable behavior; not bound by rules of fair play. In certain situations, like love or war, you are allowed to be deceitful to fulfill your objectives; in highly charged situations any method of achieving your goals is acceptable. Certain situations are so overwhelming that acting in your own selfish interest is justifiable.

"Nothing To Sneeze At"..



Means something that is not an inconsequential matter, not a trifling thing; something that should not be ignored, and dismissed lightly!

"Shoot From The Hip"...........



To speak or act rashly, recklessly, or bluntly, without consideration of potential consequences; to react quickly, without thinking carefully about something.

To eat your heart out is to feel jealous or envious of someone else's achievements or good fortune.

To be all workup regarding some incident. An obsession, often with something that is a source of agitation/irritation! Upset, a bit angry, on edge.

To focus on the most important aspects of a particular situation. To begin to talk about important things; to get down to business. Get down to bedrock or the nitty gritty.

To stay calm, be patient, to refrain from panicking. Just wait; don’t be in a rush.

If you tell someone that they are off their rocker, you think they are completely crazy.

"Have An Ax To Grind"........


To have a personal motivation or selfish reason for saying or doing something; have a dispute to take up with a particular person.

"Nailing Jelly to the Wall".........





To say that something is like nailing jelly to the wall means that it is extremely difficult to do, if not impossible.

"A Slippery Customer"............



A devious, scheming, and untrustworthy person, group, organization, etc. Someone who is difficult or impossible to apprehend or pin down due to their cunning; difficult or tricky to determine or define with certainty.

Literal expression means to tear someone a new butt-hole figuratively means to verbally or physical abuse or criticize someone thoroughly.

To infer or understand the real or hidden meaning behind the superficial appearance of something.

A story, statement, or claim made by someone which is difficult to believe because it sounds unlikely; out of the plausibility range.

People who have similar interests, ideas, or characteristics tend to seek out and/or associate with one another.
