I was in the kitchen this morning, and I heard Bob behind me. He was playing catch with himself with kibble. Goofy dude!!

I use baby gates to keep my dog in the back part of my home with me at night. (She wanders out and gets confused and then panics..its part of the dementia) so every morning, out ritual is Mr Smitty wakes the Missus, the Missus wakes the Big Dog and we parade down the hallway together...when we get to the gate, Mr Smitty the limping kitty turns into a human 5 year old and leaps over it, and turns around to see if I saw it....lol. Its is so damn cute...

Old Dog and I follow him once gate is removed...and our day begins..

A pregnant woman gets in a car accident and falls into a deep coma. Asleep for nearly 6 months, when she wakes up she sees that she is no longer pregnant and frantically asks the doctor about her baby. The doctor replies, 'Ma'am you had twins! a boy and a girl. Your brother came in and named them.' The woman thinks to herself, 'Oh No, not my brother... he's an idiot!' She asks the doctor, 'Well, what's the girl's name?' Denise.' 'Wow, that's not a bad name, I like it! What's the boy's name?' 'Denephew.'

Today in the thrift store, a woman came up and asked me if this large glass bowl on a iron stand would look good with big decorative balls in it..

I said, oh yes.. that would look wonderful.. What colors are you thinking of using..

Red, Yellow, Blue with squigly designs.. She said..

Oh.. yes, that would go really well with the color of the rusted iron..

The part that made me smile?

The entire conversation entailed of my ratio of 2 english words, to one spanish word (I understand more than I speak)

and her ratio of two spanish words, to one english word... (I assume she understood more than she spoke)

It made me smile for two reasons:

1. Home decorating knows no barriers...

2. It reminded me of when I was a little girl and my best friend was a local Turkish girl... I spoke no Turkish and She spoke no English... We bonded over dolls and a record she had of dogs barking *Happy Birthday*
