If you're flying into Chicago's O'Hare field and are unsure of what mode of transport to take to get downtown, by all means take the blue line El train that runs right under the airport terminal station! TRUST me on this, ESPECIALLY if it's during rush hour! As you go sailing past the "parking lot" of an expressway hopefully you'll remember this post and smile to yourself!

Don't forget this helpful tip........:hangloose:

The Grove Hotel (West Seattle) 3512 SW Alaska St Seattle, WA 98126

If you're going to be in Seattle and are looking for a convenient location to stay, may I suggest West Seattle. It's only about a 10 to 15 minute drive to downtown and if you want to leave your car parked and avoid the expense of parking which always seems to be at a premium and a headache, use the public transport system which picks up and drops off right at their front door. At $2.75 per person it's a deal you can't beat. Consider it an adventure if you're new to public transportation.
We've stayed here and we've had company that stayed here. We found it clean and with a very friendly staff.

They have a good size selection to choose from and if you get one of the nicer clerks, they'll even offer to make a custom one of your choosing.

Rider has taken over the Von's old location and while we were in Seattle during our last trip we met friends there for a drink. They had some decent priced Brunch drink specials. We did not eat so I can't comment on the food. The prices did seem higher judging from the menu however. Happy to say they still offer the outside seating for yous who enjoy that.
