I worked half a day and then got out and enjoyed the Sun

Kobi 10-24-2017 12:33 PM

Today, I did not indulge my inner slug.

The house got cleaned. Trash and recyclables are in their respective dumpsters. Papers dropped at the doctors. The car was washed and the interior cleaned. Grocery shopping is done. Prescriptions have been picked up. Library order has been picked up. Voted in the special town election. Treated myself to a lobster roll.

Now relaxing with a coffee coolata and deciding if I have the energy to wash the inner car windows and do the laundry.

C0LLETTE 10-24-2017 01:48 PM

I signed a new lease in a new location. Almost the most stressful thing I ever did. Moving never gets easier.

WingsOnFire 10-24-2017 02:13 PM

Today is my birthday and I accomplished getting out of bed and going to a pumpkin patch

Trip to farmers market.
Gassed up my truck (cheaper in SC than it is in NC!! Yayyy)
Made it home in one piece
Cooked crock-pot Speckle beans -n- ham, Two peach cobblers and two cornbread cakes.
Processed (cleaned and chopped using my new-to-me stainless steel outdoor butcher's table) and cooked four large bundles of collard greens.
Fried up pork tenderloin in a glaze made from apple juice, chopped apples and Mojito Lime spices. (OMG, YUMMMM)
Put up left overs for tomorrow and freezer, and prepared some to share with Mawmaw and deliver to a friend tomorrow.
Cleaned the kitchen until my bones said ENOUGH.
Somewhere in there, I fed all the farm critters and spent time with my furbaby.

After working 8 hours I drove 3 hours round trip to pick up my free dryer. It is a fancy dryer. Haha!

I am always suprised when folks don't believe that I can load, unload, and install appliances by myself. Of course I can, I am handy to have around. Haha!

MsTinkerbelly 10-26-2017 08:34 PM

Dropped off a specimen at a lab for Kasey:blink:
Had my blood drawn at a different lab
Arranged for forwarding at our mailbox
Picked up medication
Stopped at the hardware store for flashlights
Made breakfast, lunch, dinner
Fed pets
Walked the dog
Did laundry
Supervised having the propane filled
Supervised having the seals on the trailer done
Went back and picked up a package at the mailbox store.

I’ll sleep good tonight!

Gemme 10-27-2017 03:31 AM

So far, I've gotten up, saw DC off to work, moved some stuff around, scrubbed the commode, reset some outside lighting, made the bed, played with the kitteh, played online and am going to eat soon. After that, I'll load the dishwasher, vacuum then apply the mildew treatment and see how that goes as I can still smell a little yuckiness in the carpet that was saturated the longest. DC says it's fine but my schnoz is more delicate than his. Then I'll watch a smidge of TV and then get ready for work.

C0LLETTE 10-27-2017 07:49 AM

I packed moving boxes till I got so tired that I just started throwing things in.

I am the queen of organization when it comes to moving, packing, donating, and tossing stuff!

If you're paying a moving company its a bummer to pay and then reach your final destination only to toss half of the stuff you've just paid to have moved!

A lot, and I mean a lot, of processing enrollments at work for new patients for heart monitors. I don't know if there is a bug but we have had an influx that has four of us working all day trying to clear 500 enrollments and they keep coming, every single day, all day. :|

bright_arrow 10-28-2017 12:26 PM

Unloaded and loaded the dishwasher
Made two pitchers of Crystal Light
Filled up our 18 cup filtered water reservoir
Cleaned out the fridge and washed some dishes
Boiled a carton of eggs for deviled eggs/egg salad
Put chicken breast in the crockpot to shred for dinners
Gathered trashed from all rooms
Scooped the litter box and put it with trash
Cleaned off the boy's office desk
Watered the bamboo and moved one to living room
Organized the pantry
'Shopped our pantry for Thanksgiving food and we have almost everything we need by default (corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, fruit mix for ambrosia, pumpkin pie and apple cobbler ingredients)
Danced in the kitchen to a Halloween music playlist :canoworms:

I got the new to me dryer installed. Turned out to be more work than I thought but I did it. I had to completely empty out the laundry room, move the old dryer out, take the wiring off the old dryer, install the wiring on the newish dryer, hook everything up, put all the stuff back into the laundry room, and install the other wires to my old dryer.

I also voted, bought some groceries, and cooked food.
Now to clean house.

Yeah the dyer was maybe 30 years old it was time for a change.

Kobi 10-28-2017 05:55 PM

I spent the day dealing with financial people and headstone people.

Might be wrong but I'm thinking all I accomplished was perfecting the art of twirling in place.

Lots of meetings
Followed by more meetings
Then some urgent last minute documents needed to be submitted to legal
Then we had some major stuff break right as it was time to go home
And some where in the middle of all this, we set a date

Gayandgray 11-02-2017 08:06 PM

Cut the grass, weed wacked, fed the deer, tended to spouse, cooked, laundry, medicated dogs, took a short walk in the woods.

JDeere 11-02-2017 08:35 PM

Took truck to the shop

Ran errands with mom all day

Laundry

Teddybear 11-03-2017 05:36 PM

It actually took me 2 days to. Tried to do laundry yesterday and it wouldn't work. Diagnosed the problem, bad door lock motor, called around for the part(this is why it took 2 days to fix it had to be order and took until after 330 pm to get here), order said part, took washer apart to replace the switch. 15 minutes tops. Took longer to find the tools then to actually take it apart.

Got home with said part and put it back together took about 45 minutes the dam spring that goes around the tub seal didn't want to go back in place. Finally got it started a load and NO water leaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So for $120 I just bought my moms washer and dryer and it isn't a top load washer it is one of those Whirlpool Duet steam washer/dryer combo.

I also accomplished ticking off my baby brother by getting said washer and dryer.:pirate-steer::pirate-steer:
