Feeling lucky
I had a car accident this morning and I totaled my car. Lost control on highway 78 after getting a flat tire. Still not sure exactly what happened. The car flipped over and I ended on the shoulder upside down—thank goodness I didn't end up in the middle of the highway!!! And I'm really lucky I didn't have the top down. There's not a scratch on my body.
It was surreal being upside down in my car while watching other cars drive by. That keeps looping in my mind—cars zipping by me while I'm upside down on the shoulder.
I'm a little sore in a couple places and that will most certainly magnify in the morning. I have a nice supply of Motrin 800. I hope I don't need anything stronger.
Thank goodness for the heroines and heroes (firefighters, EMS crews, and police) who showed up to take care of me and the mess I made. They do things and go to places that I would never, ever consider. Never.
