Okay, so it's 5am here and I had a terrible night's sleep due to nightmares as a consequence of this thread.


I dreamt that I was getting married to Stepfordfemme in Reykjavik, Iceland but everything went wrong.


Firstly, she'd cleaned out my bank account paying vast sums of money on Italian leather shoes. Even worse, she'd had some fancy ass lawyer look over my pre-nuptial contracts and turned the tables on me. Knowing this, I didn't really want to go ahead with the wedding but I had little choice as my mum always loves a good wedding and an excuse to wear a hat.


To make matters worse, Dixie was the photographer but there were almost no photos of the bride and groom as, somehow, Agnetha and Anni-Frid from ABBA turned up to the wedding and got all Dixie's attention. The result? Hundreds of photos of Agnetha and Ani-Fred in their retro 1970s sparkly clothes and no photos of me (I cannot remember if there were photos of Stepfordfemme but, since we're now going through divorce, I'm not too worried).

Gráinne (formerly known as Guihong) was also there as the wedding caterer but had got very drunk the previous night in a Reykjavik Irish bar. This meant that the lasagne was way over-cooked. Somehow Wanda Sykes also came into the dream at this stage to claim that she was the real Betty Crocker - so now I know.


And just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, it turned out that Espressolover had been booked as the musical entertainment for the wedding reception. Even the more patient of the guests had had enough of her banging her tambourine after 5 minutes or so.



All-in-all, a very bad start to married life. Can someone give me the name of a good divorce lawyer? Once I get the divorce sorted out, I think I'm going to join a monastery or a convent.

Over the weekend, I spent a lot of time reading through the forums here at BFP, and I was thinking to myself - wish we had something like this here in Manila/the Philippines as I've now added a few of the butches here in my crush-meter! :)

I must say I'm very disappointed with all of Ciaran's running around. Especially after having a panic attack that my straight colleague had possibly killed my oven AND I bought lasagna pasta.

I have in mind to change the lyrics to Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights", something along the lines of ...

"Kiwiiiii, it's me, Ciaran, I'm hungrrrrrryyyy
I'm so bored, let eat me your lasagnaaaa
Kiwiiiii, it's me, Ciaran, I'm hungrrrrrryyyy

To which I would promptly close and lock them in because he's been fooling around with other grrly's lasagna. :fastdraq:

I can assure you that the pending future nuptials are strictly for sham purposes so that Ciaran can henceforth be referred to as a divorcee (I can't find the accents on my phone). And for procurement purposes of my love of all things leather.

You can enjoy the added mystique of a previously married Ciaran, as I fear my lasagna recipe may not be enough to keep him around.

I would be most grateful if you could please not refer to our impending marriage as a "sham". Such terminology can alert the authorities who may think we are getting married for nefarious means. This could result in being imprisoned and, whilst being incarcerated in a women's prison has long been one of my fantasies, I think it might be better as a fantasy than reality.

Please refer to the wedding as a "marriage of mutual convenience and honourable intentions across all parties" to protect us from any legal repercussions.


Note that my planning of the wedding continues and two things to update you on. Firstly, it is incredibly cole and snowy in Iceland just now. Therefore, my intention to but you as mamy pairs of Italian designer shoes has been superseded by the need to but you a pair of snow boots. Also, as it is so cold, I would suggest wearing two anoracks instead of a dress for the weddding.

Secondly, I've been busy adjusting our wedding vows to make them very personal and meaningful. In particular, the wording "til death do us part" is changed to "til next Friday". Trust that is okay.

Yup....seen this before. I dated bottom row, far left. Lazy b*stard was always on hys back. Oh well, at least my hair stayed pretty....
