Got up (too) early this morning and headed straight out to do some more yard work.....I edged and got ready to mulch...Scoote mowed (too much)...and I had a long talk with my mother who is tired from chemo but otherwise okay. Then we headed out to see the new Harry Potter movie.

Unfortunately Scoote has to work again tonight....so we're hanging out for a bit before she has to go and enjoying some fresh strawberries.

I can ask for a Tuesday off around the time Rooster flies back into Orlando, if you would like to do that. How was the movie? I saw today on an internal posting at work, that my PM supervisor's position has opened up. I sent my boss an email and asked if I could apply for the position. It really isn't a hard job and it would be a decent pay increase for me. I also got a complimentary pass to any Disney park and I would love to go back and visit Epcot again.

Hope Scoot has a good night at work and they don't work her to death! How is the yard coming out?

:bringcoffee: The coffee pot is on and oh how I need it this morning! The cats woke me up about 4....didn't fall back asleep until after 5...awake again at 6....then just after 7. By then I was ready to kill them (figuratively speaking of course) and just got up. :seeingstars:

Best of luck on the job Zimmy...a promotion would be great! I really liked the Harry Potter movie. The ending is a little ho-hum, but true to the book so I couldn't really complain. I remember reading that last chapter and saying "you're really going to end like that???"

Scoote is doing too much, as usual, and doesn't listen when I tell her to cut it out. The back yard is coming along...very slowly. I got the Prince to help me for about half an hour on Saturday. We're using 16 foot lengths of edging...so we're accomplishing about 48 square feet of landscaping at a time. :blink: Snail's pace, but an improvement just the same...

Ugh...back to work for me...the Monday email flood awaits...

very hot and very humid and it's going to get worse.

Stopping by the kitchen to cool off, only crazed folks (like me) are out on bicycles......eventually I'll make it home to my cool house. Do you have iced coffee.? Jenn posted a really cool coffee drink in the vegatarian thread...that would be good right about now.......I just finish this water and get going......I'm tempted to have some deep fried greasy cheese sticks.....odd cravings.:byebye:

I haven't heard anything about Lavender, but I know that, Avon's Skin So Soft keeps them away. I buy my lavender stuff at L'Occitane en Provence. It is AOC Organic French Lavender and it doesn't make me break out. I am thinking about going and I will see where my finances are at that time. Thank you and I am looking forward to hopefully getting the transfer...The new job pays a $1 more an hour and after my 90 days, I will get a 25Cent raise. So that will take me over the $9.50 mark. Woohoo!!!

Hopefully I can make it to the Bash and we will have to meet up!

As 75% of the country is under soaring temperatures, I made cold coffee smoothies.....All you need to do is get the ice cube coffee from the freezer
use 4....and in the Jug (un case it stains) in fridge, is the breakfast smoothie mix.....

Enjoy! Will be fullfilling as a breakfast, and tasty as all get go, and no need for hot coffee. There is fresh espresso in the smoothie mix.....:tea:

I must say I am super glad that it's Friday. It's been a busy, stressful week. Capped it all off by getting paid this morning (auto deposit to my checking account), paid my bills, and within 10 minutes was broke for the next 2 weeks....good grief. :seeingstars:

Good Evening Everyone,

I slept until 6pm tonight after getting home around 3:30p and I am now having a quick dinner of hot dogs<Kosher> and baked beans with orange juice. I had my interview today for the other position and now all of the paper work has been forwarded off to my manager to finish everything starting on Monday. I have to clean up my notes from lastnight and then post them for the other committee members to see. My next day off is next Thursday and I am going to be exhausted by then. My boss has me working at 6:30a tomorrow, 6am on Sunday and then back to my original schedule of 2:30p on Monday. Talk about messing up your sleep schedule. I feel bad for her, since she is the only manager now in my department and I am helping her out as much as I can.

Have fun tonight and keep cool...It is raining right now here in my part of Florida.

Good Evening Everyone,

Today was my last day having to wake up at 4am for work..Woohoo!!! Dessert for all of us! My transfer interview went well on Friday and now all of the paperwork is on my department director's desk...Say that five times fast, lol...

I am thinking of chicken breast strips, crinkle cut carrots cooked with a dash of garlic salt, thyme and crushed red pepper with creamy chicken rice on the side....:koolaid::chocolate:

Hope you all had a great weekend! I am still shocked over the death of Amy Winehouse. She was such a great singer and she will be surely missed. Yesterday was a bad day for me and I almost quit my job. I am going to talk to my supervisor today about how the other two girls that I was working with decided, talking to someone like a dog was a good thing. If she cannot help me, then I am going to HR and I won't stop until those two are dealt with. The one girl, decided to start cussing out the guests when she would put them on hold and kept freaking out. I was mentally exhausted from this girl and I am about to bring my Cymbalta in and give them to her...I cannot wait to find out if my transfer has been approved and I can get the hell out of my current department. I need this, :praying: and :chocolate:....
