my afternoon client...

I only see her once a month. Every time I visit, she wants us to sit down and talk a bit. She always asks about what's going on in my life...usually she asks me if I've eaten lol Such a lovely lady...

Ice cream
Success at work
Listening to my children banter
A moment of downtown

Lots of smiles... its good to list them, always leads to more.

Today was a tough day for a smile (as they made the company announcement of my friend's departure)...However, again.. those little notes..those words of sharing.. did it again.

I wonder if people truly understand how they affect others without even knowing that they do.

Fuguing out all day to a song that was the musical equivalent of a staccato one-two punch in the face - it was familiar on a cellular level and my whole body tingled with electrical current when I first heard it.

I love music, but I've never become the song before.

Now I literally can't stop listening to it. My eyes are two saucers. Maybe I really like it; maybe I know it from somewhere; or maybe I've finally gone over the edge, lol.

Good thing I no longer care about such things. Life is too good!

Tonight with the help of my sister-in-law came up with the name for the non-profit business I will be starting. I even designed the company logo! Tomorrow I will write the mission statement and begin the rest of the process!

Loved it.

Ice Cream

  • 'Chocolate Zin', Chocolate ice cream with Zinfandel (from Izzy's Ice Cream)
  • A dentist appointment (Getting my "grill" fixed permanently).
  • School starts on Monday
  • J, exclaiming that he can "smell what I am up to" as in 'Chicken and dumplings' at the bus stop, a half a block away.
.
Lots of things to grin and smile about. :hk16:

Heard a new phrase today. Stood watching a huge "Pro Life " group gather on Parliament Hill. Seems that "Unborn", "Foetus", Embryo", have been replaced by a new term .... "Pre-Born Babies" ...kinda like "Pre-Used Cars".

All went well till I asked a demonstrator whether there was a "pre-pre-born" state and a "pre-pre-pre-born" state.

Lots of smiles....

One of my favorite clients returned from being on vacation for over a month...

She had some health issues and actually cancelled me for today...but my manager failed to inform me of this and I went to her house anyway...

She felt terrible that they had done this and insisted on taking me out to lunch. So we went for Indian food! Her husband hates it and she never gets to go...

I'm so lucky to have such excellent clients <3

AND

My manager called me to apologize for not informing me of the cancellation. At first, she was all flippant about it, saying I needed to check my schedule. Which...I HAD done the night before. Both officer managers were very sweet and felt bad about it. I ended up having a lovely time with a great lady so...no harm done!

:)

A very productive and tiring day....It is amazing how it isn't work when it is something you are passionate about. All of a sudden you look at the clock because you are tired and realize the entire day was spent doing the thing you love. *Smiles.

I also took my daughter's bf to look at a place and pick up the rental application for them to move.

But for my non-profit that I am starting I completed the mission statement, letter head, board of directors invitation letter, board of directors job description, donors thank you letter, a letter to ask for donations, and a list of possible board of director recruits. I am exhausted but smiling at my accomplishments. I am so hopeful this will take off by years end or beginning of next year. Doors are opening so quickly. Connections are being made just as quickly. You always know when you are on the right path for life because doors continue to open....

For all within this day I am smiling as I head up to bed....

Good night.
