So, I didn't do my 30 out of 30 days. I had a pretty good record going (missed one day), but then got a bad cold and was afraid that if I worked out it would make the cold worse and I would have to miss work like a lot of people have lately. I feel a bit less rough today, so I will get back on it.

I really do like this elliptical, for anyone who is looking. It is Livestrong (by Lance Armstrong). What I like about it is the pedals are closer together, so it is more similar to the actual distance between our legs when we walk. Other treadmills have the pedals spaced further apart, which feels more awkward to me. It is a newer product, so there are less used ones out there, but you can find one. I have never joined a gym (up until now I just either didn't exercise, mountain biked, or had a bike on a trainer indoors), but I know me and I would never go. This works better for me.

Quinoa is high in protein. Since my diet is now plant based whole foods (except fish...which I have to force myself to eat), this is a good staple food for me.

Who else like quinoa? I like the feel of the seeds in my mouth (unlike PinkieLee and her "curd issue"!).

Love Quinoa... pronounced KEEN-WAH (for those of you who may be going around asking "Where's the KWIN-O-AH?" like I did for a couple years... eek... lol)

*says Jett who has gained damn lbs. because she's been eating like crap lately*

So many major ups and downs over the past year+, so much change and I for the most part hate change, but like everyday it's a new day... time to rock and roll.

Not a big fan nor do I really eat cottage cheese but I had some this morning with peaches and a thin bagel. 250 calories. Not sure if I will have cottage cheese again. LOL.

Not sure about lunch yet but I know I want ribeye steak and shrimp tonight! ..and probably toss a romaine salad together to go with it.

Gemme, I'm pretty sure they said no commitment on either PF plan but I will check again to be sure when I take my free day to try them out! Saturday morning I decided I will hit up Snap Fitness I have free days with them so I figured Saturday, Monday and Wednesday! Then I can be sure of what I want to do as far as a gym goes. Wish I could just move into a community already that has a fitness center but until I figure out where I will be permanently that is not an option. At least I still have the pool and the beach while it's warm! Tomorrow is a beach day for sure!

I hope they do. There's no point getting latched into a long commitment if it's not necessary.

I love pineapple with cottage cheese! It's good with other fruits like strawberries and/or blueberries, but pineapple has just enough juice to make a nice syrup type glaze on the bottom of the bowl.

Everyone has crystals in their ears, there is a little pouch in your inner ear that holds these bits of calcium carbonate. Traumatic head injuries and some viruses can cause these crystals to shake loose and end up in the ear canal -- and this is what causes your nausea, dizziness and vertigo.

Our ear crystals are actually quite important they help us maintain our balance by sending signals through the nerves that help our brain to know up from down.

The problem you're experiencing is not uncommon at all and it is completely fixable.

The range of movements your doctor has given you (called the Epley Maneuver) should do the trick. Though you may not be able to achieve it on your own, you may need a doctor, NP or physical therapist to do the maneuver on you - and it may take more than one session.

It took me 3 sessions over the course of a few months to get it to stop completely.

Has calcium deposit in right ear, which is why I can no longer scuba dive, I can't clear my ears. Planes are fun...not.

I use peroxide and clean them well beforehand, it seems to help with the pressure. It only hurts on the way up and down :|

Healthy Weight Loss!

Hey, how us everyone doing with their eating plans and exercise doing?

I miss reading about everyone and it always gives me encouragement!

Zimmy, Kelt, Pinkie, Medusa (I am sure you are busy with reunion "stuff"), Jo (hope your mom is doing ok), Scorp, to name just a few!

My weight is staying the same. Not gaining, not losing. Still doing sit-ups and am shocked how easy they are now. Still doing 7-flights of stairs up and down. That, however, is still not at all shockingly easy-still sound like an asthmatic by the time I am finished.

I know the weight maintaining when I really want to lose more is the fiber. A teaspoon of Metamucil is 25 calories and as much as I am supposed to be eating, adds up. I still have to figure that one out!

Hugs healthy friends,

I do hope everyone is doing well. Please, do tell!

Hi everyone :)

I'm back from the trip out to see my mother and get things straightened out there....it went alright, but exhausting physically, mentally and emotionally to say the least. We stayed with friends (thank goodness or I'd have really lost it), but they are both very heavy and eat immense portions with lots of carbs...exactly what I'm trying to avoid.

I declined a lot, but didn't always, and even had a couple of diet Cokes....I was dreading the scale this morning. Amazingly, I only regained 1-1/2 pounds, so it's not anything difficult to cope with.

I'm back on the plan this morning....black coffee, 1 slice of whole wheat toast with tuna salad, and a banana for breakfast.

Where I'm falling down is exercise. I need to get back on that Mobia and just do it. It would work schedule-wise to get on it as soon as I return from delivering boys to school and before I have to start work, but Scoote is always still sleeping then and it's in the bedroom, so I hesitate. She says go ahead and it won't bother her....so I probably need to just do it (even though I'm sure it will disturb her sleep). I was going to wait until they move in a couple weeks, but that's really just procrastinating on my part I'm sure.

I wish I loved to exercise....sigh.

Hugs to you all. :gimmehug:

Good Morning Jo Jo,

Good to hear that some things are taking care of in regards to your mom. If you ever are up in Orlando, let me know and we will go window shop at the Mall at Millennia and then have lunch at my fave restaurant, Greens and Grille. They are an organic restaurant and the salads are to die for...

Hugs and welcome back!

This past weekend was my last days off before the reunion, so exercising is a no go for me. Since I get home around midnight from work and it was pushing in the low 80's here during the morning hours, I couldn't motivate myself to go in the morning. Now that it is in the 60's, woohoo, I will be making it a point to go this week! Most of my stuff is done for the reunion, except a few odds and ends that I need to pick up on Friday. I have to be packed by next Monday morning, since I will be leaving from work and heading to Jax. I am going to stick to my eating plan and walking as much as I can...

Have a great day!
