I'm having my first cup of coffee for the day....and savoring it before I race out to mow the front lawn. It's getting long and if I don't do it before Scoote gets back from physical therapy, then she'll do it and hurt herself more. And she calls me stubborn.... (actually we both are!)

My new morning routine....put the coffee on, go outside and play pool boy (check chemicals, adjust levels, brush sides and steps, skim net the top)...then back inside for coffee, check emails and start my work day.

Somehow I need to get my exercise routine in there too....I'm discovering that if I don't do it in the morning then it doesn't get done...

After we worked the community garden on Saturday, we came home to find the house burglarized and ransacked. They wiped us out of anything of any value. <heavy sigh> Went and bought a new laptop because I can't stand being without the internet and well, it is time to pay the bills and I don't remember how to do it without my computer. LOL

We are looking at the situation as a way to make us purge stuff we don't use or don't need. I am washing all the clothes they touched (almost everything) and making a pile to keep and a pile to donate.

We were devastated they took our fire safe (didn't get the key) because it has sentimental items in it, but after checking our safety deposit box, we realized we had moved most everything there. About the only thing of importance in the box is passports and those are replaceable.

Thank goodness for good insurance coverage.

I got the coffee going and laid out some pastries. I am needing a caffeine and sugar fix this morning to get my dragging behind moving.

Mercury being in retrograde is taking a toil on our normally drama free lives. Burglary, back issues, attorneys, problems with neighbors, absent landlords using my honey as property management, flat tire, etc. This morning I killed a cockroach in the kitchen. Ick!!! August 26th can't get here soon enough.

I am excited about my starting my new job sometime next week and it is coming with a raise, woohoo!!!! I cannot believe, that less than ninety days ago, I walked into that company not knowing much about what a PBX operator was or the job that we had to do, but now, I am enjoying working for duckland. I am still in awe over how, people that were on my original panel interview, stop me in the hallways and ask how am I doing...It just blows my mind.

How about some dippy eggs and toast for breakfast this morning?

Good morning! I have prepared a large pot of coffee for those of you that feel sluggish this morning, as I do.

I am going to fix myself some plain oatmeal with rasberries and sugar free vanilla syrup for breakfast, because I can do that in my stupor.

Took the day off work to attempt to finish up the insurance paperwork from the burglary, but every time I think I am done, I realize I forgot to get a quote on something. Ah well..... getting closer all the time.

Looking forward to when the burglary is not an every day focus thing.....

:bringcoffee: Yesterday was one of those days I could live without...so here's hoping that today is better.

This evening I get to go to the high school's open house to pick up Rooster's class schedule and meet his teachers. It's a bummer that he won't be here for it himself, but flights were booked before we knew this shindig happened.

The best, best, best part of this entire week.....going to pick up Rooster at the airport Friday evening. :cheer: He's been gone way too long.
