I play my cards close to my chest.

So whilst I revealed a few crushes here some weeks ago, I held back on some. One of those was Talon. She is a lady that I genuinely admire and could, in the right or wrong circumstances, really, really like.

So, after decades of relationship heartaches, it seemed like all my dreams were being met when Talon told me that she had dreamt of me last night.

I was already getting ready to ascertain if Talon wouldn't mind relocating over to London for a few years (post our marriage).

Then it all went wrong. Talon told me that her dream wasn't of me as a romantic, sexy lover but as a stern nun :blush:

I don't know of anyone else who has dreamt of me as a nun before (if you have - please DON'T tell me) but there goes. I'm not crushing - I'm crushed. I've been trying, and failing, to portray myself as a sexy, dynamic genderqueer with flexible fingers but come across subconsciously as a strict, harsh nun who waves her fingers around to say no.

Need to rethink my image here - anyone into PR who could assist? Basically, if you can turn my image from that of a nun into that of a sexy guy, I'll hire you. Thank you.



ps - Talon gave me permission to post about her dream of me as a nun.

Talon - after this dream, I think I'm crushing on you ..... I might even wear a habit if you ask nicely.

Ciaran - just a warning. If grenade applies for the PR position - say no.

To be fair, Grenade is way too nice to be my PR person.

I'm looking to hire someone who lacks transparency and is evasive as my PR agent .... why else hire a PR person for my dealings here on this site?

I guess on a similar note I am wondering somewhere deep in my thoughts if my crushes are thinking about me and what those thoughts might look like.

I am happily floating along and I am in no hurry to turn this crush or these crushes into something more but it makes me all fluttery thinking about the idea of someday, maybe.

I am nervous because I know I need to be careful. I don't want to flirt heavily more than in an innocent way (which it still is) if it's going to make things more difficult on the other side. There is just something...*sighs with a swoon like tone and a twinkle in my eye*

For now, I will keep floating and living for me, embracing my freedom and daydream away.

I actually have a couple's crush on grenade and stargazingboi. I crush grenade because she's spicy...and mean spirited and always busting my chops and I crush star because he has to deal with her everyday. ;)

Oh my God (literally), I pray to you to let me know that this was not just a dream of Talon but a nightmare of my own and I will awaken to be, once again, my usual grumpy, melancholy self.

I think I started this pattern by saying you looked "nice"in your suit. Now you're "sweet and lovely", and a nun to boot. Give me a break.

Okay, so you're dashingly handsome and mysterious. And as for Murderer's Row, murderer of virtue more like it. Be grumpy, melancholy and taciturn; the rest of us won't tell you if you're sweet way down deep ;).

I prefer the "dashingly handsome and mysterious" label to the "sweet and lovely" one even though I probably shouldn't and the latter approach would undoubtedly give me more success relationship-wise.

I'm grumpy and melancholy - it's a part of my DNA.

All joking aside, it does make personal relationships a bit more difficult at first as many interpret my grumpiness as a reflection on them - which isn't the case. It's just how I rock things :-)
