The Voice
The show premiered tonight and I love it!
It seems to me that Christina and Adam have some friction between them. Whether it's due to a competitive spirit, a stronger rivalry, or just for show...it's interesting. I like that the coaches stress that they are just that...coaches...and not judges. It's sad when someone's not chosen by anyone, but I love it when a few of them are battling for these folks. I think this is a fantastic show. It has met my expectations fully. How about you? |

Definitely gonna be a good show! and i see the think between Adam and Christina as well...i love all the coaches--well CeLo is ok but the others are awesome in my book....cant wait to see how this plays out!

Really loving it so far...especially the premise that they get heard without being seen. So much of the American Idol thing is based on age and appearance that I've just never been able to get into it. This, I like. :)

I normally hate singing shows but absolutely loved this one. I'm enjoying the commraderie between the coaches. :)

Loved it! I haven't watched American Idol for years, but I really like the idea behind this show.
And I really LOVED that one girl who ended up on Blake's team, I think her name was something like Sema (the sixteen year old), loved her song choice, too. |
ok so i think every Tuesday nite we all get together(in this thread just to clarify) and talk about it as it goes.....Everyone bring there own food and drink tho

I caught the last half hour because I forgot it was on tonight until I read a post in a thread here. I enjoyed what I saw enough to watch it again next week. Hell, as long as I remember, I'll keep tuned in until seasons end, lol.

I learned something new today!
The guy with the fro who is from Austin was an intern on the radio station I listen to! They had put him on the radio with an exec listening. The music executive decided to not sign him, but they played his audition and he rocked! He played guitar and sung a mash of Bruno Mar's "Just the Way You Are" and Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance". It was actually pretty good! :) |

I like this show.....neat concept....but then I wonder how many times the chairs will last....what happens if they hit their button and they don't turn around? .....I can see it getting old. Unless they changed coaches.....but even then.
I don't see the tension between Adam and Christina....I think they're kinda cute. All that said, anything that promotes singing is a plus in my book. |

I'm still not sure I like it 100% yet... I need to see the actual "mentoring" to see if I really like it.
Tonight... Watch for Tim Mahoney. He use to play in the bar I managed here in MN. He's a Twin Cites boy. I haven't heard him for a long time, he was good back in the day. I hope he can still bring it!! |
i'm with you Strappie...I'm not completely sure,but like with the idol auditions i like the very beginning if nothing else...perhaps bc my attention span is short...wil definitely look for ur boy tho

"Im Gay" ?!?!? why would someone throw that out there in the middle of there little speech? does it help? is it a way of coming out? hate to think people would use anything to further themselves-being gay,abandoned,single parent,---maybe its just a pet peeve of mine *shrug*
