The passing of Flip Fop season
 

Another Summer is past and today is day one of closed toe shoe season.

As I sit and contemplate the incarceration of my toes for another winter I am reminded of a poem I wrote several years ago....

Cute poem!!! I will miss my sexy little sandals but I will admit-I hate wearing flip flops. I even have another name for them. I call them "toe rapers."

I love all my sandals too, but even most of them go between my toes...love it!

I will miss sandals too...I will drag them out and wear them whenever it is not below freezing. lol.

I am going out to dinner downtown tonight and its supposed to be 30, so I actually have on tights anddddd closed toe shoes....UGH

Maybe it will warm up this weekend! :praying:

I wear my flip flops year round here in CA.
I have every day ones, dress ones & ones with height for when I want to yunno be a tad taller.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my flip flops!

I wear mine all winter...well, in the house.

It's in the 40s this morning and my toes would cry if i took them outside all nakie.

I miss the warmth of the sun and sun kissed skin all ready.

Bring back summer!!!!! :whine:

Rain doesn't deter me lol - I actually wear closed toes thru the snow but have a pair of sandals I slip on at work.

My feet hate to be enclosed - I don't own a pair of boots lol

I'm lucky, living in Texas at least 10 out of 12 months a year is flip flop season!

Yanno, I had no idea what Flip Fop season was all about, so I just had to stop by and check....I figured it was safe to pop in since it was in the fun category:)...
As for me though, I never wear them. However, I do notice them:sunglass:

Very cute but I do live in Florida and we seem to be able to use flip flops a lot all year round. Smiles

I want all year flip flops!

No sports here lol, with the possible exception of walking in high heel flip flops on slick floor! That can be athletic lol.

WAIT!!!!! Nobody told me!!! I had my flip flops on last night.....

I am sure mine will be on again...but I did feel the need to note this first day of foot bondage...and sadly miss the passing of Summer.

It may be too cold to wear them, but that doesn't mean they have to live in the back of our closets, right?

i am lucky enough to be able to flop in my flips year round!!!

Sorry y'all, but I hate flip flops! I have sandles for the summer that have a band around the big toe and around the middle of my foot, but they don't flop around and don't make that dreaded flip flop noise. And there are so many women out there who just shouldn't wear them.

I love it when the weather gets colder and I can wear my sexy f' me boots. They give me great height and they make me feel much more sexy then sandles. Yay boots!

I'm in San Diego where it is Flip Flop season ALL year round! yay!

I'm in the midwest - but yeah...always flip flop season for me - have been known to wear them in the snow! Love 'em! :) ...

I wear mine all year long in the house, but tempting as it is to wear them in the snow it's something like -45 million degrees C here today, so that is not an option. I have so many pretty pairs though and they get ignored during the winter, just hibernating at the back of my closet dreaming of the day they'll be chosen to adorn my perfectly pedicured peds. That's why I like that display hanger thingy. Actually I am in the process of making one right now. Cuz I'm crafty like that.

Wear them as slippers. Just a few more months before the perfectly pedicured dogs can come out to play in their sparkling pair of flip flops.

If you're lucky, I'll make you a flip flop hanger too.

I love this. Maybe when you are done you can make me some hangers for my butchly flip flops. They won't look as pretty but the skulls and flames and such will look kinda cool. It won't take as long making them to hang in my teeny tiny closet. Not like the one you have. That one is so big that the painter guy got lost in it for three days. And remember when we were going to rent it out as a parking garage? Just being silly.
