Personal Theme Song
What is your personal theme song? How has it changed over the years? What theme song would you attribute to your significant other and why?
|
One of many. Might not be popular, but it is what it is.
|
Also a strong theme song
|
I did it my way....
I don't have a significant other at the moment, but this is me all the way. :) |
This was mine for years, but it doesn't fit me anymore
As I get older and feel comfortable in my own skin, I'm ready to settle down and settle in. |
This. This became the theme song for my life when it first came out, and now at this point in my life it's still absolutely this song -- "It's a hard enough life to be living, why walk when you can fly." Beautiful, simple, powerful song.

it speaks for itself

Can i have two?
For as far back as i can remember, this song has been my heart. When i was married to a bio-man, miserable, stuck, knew i was gay with no way out of the situation i was in. I sang this song constantly. In the shower, in the car, everywhere. I really believe it saved my life....
Later, after i came out to myself and those close to me...this was and is my anthem. It's all about the climb. Most of life is about self stuggles and awareness, reaching..climbing. Love this song.... |
Duce!
Classic Molly Hatchet "Flirting with Disaster" as I am always out on the road getting into some crazy wonderful trouble!
and, of course the newest: a HOUSE remix, because if you knew me you'd know how much I love to dance to these pumped-up beats, but DG & Sia's "Titanium" is a great choice for me as I was born...bulletproof. |
|
For Your Entertainment
It depends on my mood, and this song was suggested for my theme song. I rather like it.
|
The overall tenor of my theme song never changes... upbeat but in a minor key, some nonsense lyrics accompanied by interesting instrumentation... A SO has never influenced "my" song. :) It's *my* song for a reason! :tea: |
I have way too many, and it changes way too much. But one I can say for sure is mine, would by Landslide by Stevie Nicks. Another one for me is also Welcome To My Life by Simple Plan as well. But, again, it changes a lot.
|
I don't have one that i know of...now what would be interesting is what others (friends etc.) might feel "should be" your theme song..don't you think?.. :phonegab:

Little Wonders
"Our lives are made in these small hours" and "It's the heart that really matters in the end" resonate with me deeply. It reminds me to cherish each and every "small moment" of happiness, find that happiness where and when I can, and that no matter what...be true to my heart, and treat other people with a kind, generous and loving heart.... even when, and maybe especially when, I feel they are least deserving. Because it is only through "twists and turns of fate" that we often end up where we are, and most of us are just doing the best we can with the cards we are dealt..... Katniss~~ |
I have several but this is a favorite that does me good:
Lyrics: "Mother" by Tori Amos Go go go go now Out of the nest it's time Go go go now Circus girl without a safety net Here here here now don't cry You raised your hand for the assignment Tuck those ribbons under your helmet Be a good soldier First my left foot then my right behind the OTHER Pantyhose running in the cold Mother the car is here Somebody leave the light on Green limosine for the redhead DANCING dancing girl And when I dance for him Somebody leave the light on Just in just in case I like the dancing I can remember where I come from I walked into your dream And now I've forgotten how to dream my own dream You are the CLEVER one aren't you Brides in veils for you We told you all of our secrets All but one And don't you even try The phone has been disconnected Dripping with blood and with time and with your advice Poison me against the MOON Mother the car is here Somebody leave the light on Black chariot for the redhead DANCING dancing girl He's gonna change my name Maybe you'll leave the light on Just in just in case I like the dancing I can remember where I come from I escape into your escape into our very favorite fearscape It's across the sky and across my heart and I cross my legs oh my god First my left foot then my right behind the other Breadcrumbs lost under the snow Oo who mother Oo mother the car is here Maybe maybe you'll leave the light on for the for the for the dancing girl He's gonna change my name Maybe you'll leave the light Just in case I like the dancing I can remember where I come come from Mother mother mother |
I could make a soundtrack!!

The spitting image of my father and when the day is done, my momma's still my biggest fan Sometimes, I'm clueless and I'm clumsy but I've got friends that love me and they know where I stand It's all a part of me, and that's who I am |
I have many, but this one is always a reflection of me
|
|
Only one? Guess this will have to do right now lol.

with lyrics Shinedown doesn't sound as good as Lynyrd Skynyrd but it has lyrics |
some days this... but mostly just the rhythm... something about the blues that sets a cadence...life sometimes just follows it
