Hello, to everyone!

I've been here about a week now (I think!) and being a new member to this site has been rewarding - I've reconnected with people that I've known for years on another website and I've reconnected with people with people I've not seen in years! Fortuantely, it's not been a completely binary experience - I've been graciously accepted here and I've extended an apology to someone who is a pretty awesome person and I've been fortunate to be recieved back into good graces with them. So, I'm excited about these new events/experiences here in this new online community.

Some of you knew me before as "SweetBlueDiva..."

*Well,* I'm still the same person (in some ways) and as most of us experience growth daily, I'm blooming in more ways than before!

I want to extend a personal thank you to those of you who have welcomed me so warmly here and to also add that I look forward to all the great conversations and opportunities to connect with all of you, as we grow here together!

A little bit about me:

I share an affinity for music - I like all kinds of blues, jazz, soul, R&B, classic rock and even music of the big band era. I'm also fond of classical music (i.e., Shubert, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Grieg, Rachimanoff, Tchaichovsky), Broadway musicals (i.e., Phantom of the Opera, Annie, Miss Saigon - among others) and Italian Opera.

I also love to read for pleasure and enjoy autobiographical, historical accounts and novels - romantic or mystery.

When I have spare time to kill, I like indulge my creative side by throwing clay (ceramics) or oil painting or even drawing - well, more like doodling! I can sew, crochet, knit and tat lace...

My favorite activity is spending time in the kitchen cooking up some marvelous concoction - breakfasts, lunches or suppers - even desserts, I do have a sweet tooth!

Other than that, I'm completing my post-graduate work - I'll be finished soon. I've traveled in the US some; I've even lived in other states (west or east coast) and my constellation of close friends are few - but I have many acquaintences and friends online. It's a big, big, big world out there, outside my home life!

I'm glad to be here and thanks for the warm welcome I've received thus far!

Rose??? My heart just goes out to you because I know what it feels like to lose love in your life - the kind of love that you and your sweetheart shared! I just wanna say that I hope you're doing better each day!

Today is the first time I will be back on campus and as usual, the first place I go is to the chapel and light candles for all of us who need a special little prayer.
