FAT LINKS (aka snausages)

I thought I'd start a thread just for cool fat positive blogs or links. A central place to go for celebrating one's fat, political, badass self! Please include a description with the link unless you are feeling lazy.

Here is a fave of mine to start things off:

http://www.therotund.com/

This is a blog by Marianne Kirby. The description reads:

I'm on a mission here to let you know that fat people are not your enemy. And skinny people aren't your enemy either.

Here, the body is a political one no matter its size or shape. We are going to unpack society's standards of beauty, the oppression of the dominant social paradigm when it comes to body conformity, and talk about clothes. Maybe even makeup. Because I do love makeup.

Here, I hope, we will come to a place of acceptance. Acceptance for our own bodies and for the bodies of others.

Anyone want to go to this with me?

"A comprehensive guide on the how-tos and why-tos of love, romance, and great big sexuality for everyone--regardless of gender or orientation--from the chubby to the supersized.
"Big Big Love" is the only handbook on sex, sexuality, and sexual self-confidence for people who know that a love life isn't dictated by the number on a bathroom scale. Covering the ins and outs of sex toys, sex aids, and positions for larger lovers, this guide also takes on tricky topics like the fear of being seen naked and living in a culture where no body is ever perfect enough. Featuring advice on medical issues and activism, along with expert interviews on topics like fat-admirer culture, "Big Big Love" tackles every hot-button issue people of size will confront in the bedroom and in love."

Being Sedentary—the "real" risk factor

"A 2008 study, done by Harvard researchers, looked into the effects of physical activity and body mass index on coronary heart disease and found that overweight women who walked more than four hours a week had a significantly lower risk of heart disease than those who didn’t exercise. This says to me that the most important risk factor isn’t being fat; it’s being sedentary."
