Dumbest Thing You Did To Impress Someone?

Mine happened not to long ago. A coworker I was crushing on was in my office for a few mins and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" song came on my iPod. So naturally... I tried to imitate some M.J. moves and sing along. I thought I was doing good, had her laughing till I went to do a weird M.J. kick in the air and knocked rolls of coins ALL over the floor; and I thought I had her laughing before! Sheesh.

One other time with a different female coworker... she was sitting in my office chair; they have wheels & we have a hard, stained concrete floor of sorts. So I thought it'd be fun to dance in the chair and twirl her around in hers.... till I sent her toppling over the side! =O

Your turn! =)

Heck cuddles don't feel bad , I will post something in your thread for you . Nice to meet you by the way . Anywho , here you go : many years back , my buddy and I were at wallyworld wal mart right at Xmas time when only 4 out of the 379 cash registers were operating :) . Anyways, we had been in line for about half an hour , like everyone else ticked off because of the long nonmoving line . There was a beautiful gal in front of us and I mean stunning . Finally , it was her turn to check out and she put all of her items on the moving belt except the huge bag of kitty litter that she left in the buggy . This was when scanners were attatched VIA a rubber cord but the cord wouldn't stretch . I said here , ill get that for you ma'am and picked up her bag of kitty litter and the bag ripped and the litter spewed everywhere , even all over the moving belt and jammed the belt . Haha . She said way to go a!@hole . Seriously , what Do you say after that except to finish it off with a classy line like now our checkout looks like a litter box and well nobody was real thrilled :) that was sooo long ago and my buddy still thinks its the funniest thing hy ever saw . Hys not right in the noggin though :) what I learned was no good deed goes unpunished and I learned that kitty litter bags should be left in the buggy and scanned there and also I think wal mart should open the other 379 closed registers ....... Peace - RNguy

I bought a piece of her art work to the tune of $500. Yes I still have the piece and every time I look at it I go. OK stud how'd that work out for you? Although she looked like Faith Hill, she couldn't sing but she sure could paint.

i tried to learn how to walk on stilts and ride a unicycle

Mr Nice Guy 02-22-2012 07:35 PM

I stood outside and played a guitar I couldn't play and sang a song that I was making up as I asked her out. I was younger then.

I killed a snake with a huge pipe wrench....and jumped back each time I landed a hit. I tried to look all tough wielding that wrench.... but the "hops" backwards gave me away.

Found out that this person I was going to go out with for the first time was really into heels, so I wore my tallest pair with a short-ish skirt. Apparently worked too well, because they forgot to put gas in the car and i ended up helping push in that getup!!

And then there was the time I was trying to be all badass doing donuts in the snow in the abandoned store parking lot, until we ended up in a ditch because the snow had drifted and we couldn't tell where the asphalt ended. Snapped my friend's tow chain, and ended up calling every friend I knew so we could put boards and kitty litter and everything we could think of under the tires and have my 90lb. little sister in the driver's seat, the rest of us up to our waists in snow pushing a T-bird backwards out of a snowbank. Good times!

I was 14 when a new family moved into the next street where my friend lived. One of the kids I thought was gorgeous, so we invited them both to play.

Sooo, there’s me attempting to chat up the one I had the hots for when, it turns out she was in fact a very feminine looking boy!

Needless to say, I felt sick, was so disappointed and embarrassed that I ran home in tears.

Since them, I’ve never tried to impress anyone; take me as you find me, lol!

Lol, it's great to see I'm not alone in doing silly things too!

There was a new girl in class in fourth grade. I was walking her to the office and ran backwards to show off, tripped, fell, sprained my wrist. Not so cool looking :|

I tried to be butch, or at least andro. I use the term very loosely!!!

The women I was hanging out with all poo pooed my long hair and nails, nail polish, lipstick, jewlery, heels...my femme~ness.

I wasn't a "real" lesbian to them.

In their opinioin, I was sitting on the fence so that I could slip back into the het world if I got scared.

I let the pressure get the better of me eventually.

I cut 12 inches of hair off, scrubbed my face clean, cut my nails off.....you don't want me to go into the painful details do you?

I was miserable of course. I withdrew inside myself, but tried to behave "like one of the guys."

I spent less and less time with these women in the following weeks, until I completely disappeared from the group.
No one ever called to check on me, which was fine, because my hair was growing out again, and they wouldn't approve!

I went back to my wicked femme ways and have never attempted to be someone else since. I learned that lesson pretty damn quick!

Back in my 30's when i had more money then common sense...was deeply infatuated with a hawt dyke that was a friend for a lil over a year..."borrowed" Hys truck while Hy was at work..recruited my cousin and his friends..put a 4" lift kit, big ol mudding tires, KC lights and roll bar on it. (Hy talked about doing that for a year when Hy had enough saved up)Put a big ol bow on it...Happy Birthday...umm yeah it impressed Hym..we dated all about a month before it went sour..not only cost me a ton of cash..but also a friendship. Learned my lesson i did. :|

Tcountry 02-24-2012 02:52 AM

Good lord....just one?

Most of mine involve trying to be someone I am not ... doing something crazy or spending way too much money...
... car I have never driven, clothes I will never wear, house no one lives in, trashed credit score...& that one (wicked awesome fun) $400 dinner... :)

Good memories tho for sure ...
*tip hat*
