What voting method will you use?
Are you a vote by mail type? Do you mail your ballot in as soon as you receive it? Or are you a stand in line type? Do you prefer voting in the early morning or after your work day?
Personally, I love standing in line first thing in the morning to place my vote. Something about that feels powerful. However, I was always concerned something would stop me from getting there so several years ago I signed up for vote by mail. Many elections, I am still in line to drop off my vote by mail ballot but this year I will be out of town on election day so have mailed my ballot in the weekend after I received it. |
up until now i've always voted in person on election day, but i recently registered for "permanent advance voter" status due to permanent disability - in my county, you have to be disabled to be able to automatically vote by mail every election (instead of having to re-register to vote by mail every election). so i got my ballot last week and filled it out but i haven't dropped it in the outgoing mail yet :) hopefully i'll do that today or tomorrow.

I use to go to the polls but recently I started useing a mail in vote,no mater how I feel health wise or tht weather is I will have voted.

I think this time around I going to use one of these two methods. Pin the tail on the donkey. Or try the magic 8 ball.
|
In person though I might regret it. Getting older and arthritic. But I like the ritual. I like being there with my fellow citizens doing our civic duty. I have always loved it.

Rock paper scissors. Or maybe the time tested trusty chicken wishbone.

Not super busy where I live but regardless- I GO. I don't trust mail in ballots. I barely trust the electronic ballots.
VOTE no matter what! |
Fifteen days to go, ...Mine is filled out and ready.
I too, love standing in line first thing in the morning to place my vote. I study and fill out my Absentee Voter Ballot at home. Then I am in line when the polls open and drop my vote in the box. Get that little I voted sticker and go to work and nudge those who haven't done so to get off their duffs and go vote. |
In person here!!!! For roughly 15 years i volunteered on the voting committee in Knoxville. This year i'm not. Although, i do know all those women and men sitting behind those tables and at the voter booths.
It will be interesting to see them again and catch up. Bully will get a big dose of "Haven't seen you in a while" conversations... We will vote at my elementary school. It's a very small world around here. |
Early mail-in ballot. :)

I have been voting Absentee Ballot of over 20 years now. When I first started using this method, it was mostly Republicans and older people using absentee. (Although I was not old nor Republican at the time. ) Now, the Democrats and others are using Absentee more and more.

I go to the polling station for my neighborhood. It's the Community College right by my house. But pin the tail on the donkey would work too.

Normally in person on election day, however, this year I went to town hall and voted early. I don't trust the mail.

In person, with a smile.
|
I always vote in person on election day. I love the buzz and the lines of people anxious to cast their ballots.
Hope that everyone here will get out and VOTE! |
I will be voting via the absentee ballot...I prefer to avoid the conversation at the voting locations...
|
I always vote on my way to work. its early, and not much of a line at 530 am.
|
I already voted by mail for Bam and Biden. They never have enough parking where I vote and it is ALWAYS raining on Election Day.
