I stopped by a little shop this afternoon and found the most unusual wooden Buddha statue hidden behind some other things on the floor.

I've never seen anything like it. It is only about 7 or 8 inches high, and was carved from some sort of wood, but it must weigh at least 30 pounds with a halo around the head. It is compelling.

And for whatever reason, I can't seem to keep my hands off of it.
