The dog gave the cat-who-allows about 20 baths. The cat-who-does-not-allow slept soundly out of reach of the dog. The dog got scared of the snow shovels because he's not used to them being by the door when he goes outside. He also got scared because his runner rope was heavy with snow. Everyone napped and ate.
