New behavior doesn't happen without a reason. Have you told your vet? Urinary and bladder issues often lead to marking behavior.

A vet visit for routine HW test & refill of HW meds PLUS nail trims (vet cut two in quick and had to use styptic on them) and anal gland express..oy vey...

eta: vet told me if either of cut nails began to bleed again to just dip paw into some cornstarch..would act as clotting mechanism...who knew...
