I've opened this thread because I didn't find anything on PFLAG
Parents, Family & Friends of Lesbians and Gays. Their slogan is Straight for Equality.

That said, I'd like to know if you have support from your straight friends, parents and family members.
Feel free to share you experiences here whether they are positive or not. I believe that our sexuality is full of myths
to straight people who don't get it because they are either misinformed or uninformed. Feel free to share
on how you managed to tell the straight people in your life about your lifestyle, and how did they react?

I'll start. As far as family:

My mother disowned me for a year.
My dad can't stand it and I think I may be disinherited.
My uncle and I got in a fist fight over this issue.....his issue really.
My aunts are cool, some of my cousins are not.
My cousin Randy stuck up for a gay man who was being bullied
at work because he was gay. I'm really proud of Randy.

And I'm still invited for dinner at my family.
