I try to use the pronoun people prefer. if I don't know, I try to ask.

I HATE it when people automatically use "He" or "Hy" for every Butch without asking. I try to be understamding and remind them "she" if indeed the person uses "she" as their prefered pronoun, but often, it makes no difference.

I used to avoid people who did this even after being reminded several times, I am trying to soften on it and continue to remind them....but it sure gets old.
