Can you imagine working with a patient in the hospital, with severe COPD or asthma, walking in bathed in a scent? There you go triggering a new respiratory event!
One of my employees in Texas was allergic to a lot of heavy fragrances and other heavy odors in general tended to trigger migraines in her.

I know I do okay most of the time because she was okay with me and she was really sensitive to that stuff.

The state claimed imminent domain so we had to work in a construction trailer for the duration of her employment.

Texas is hot and hot people are sweaty plus there are a lot of smokers in that area and those that bathed in their cologne. Put those folks with her in a tiny trailer and she was not happy.

She knew all this and still kept silent through the hiring process. Poor thing didn't last long there, for that and other reasons. She left right after I got back from one of the Reunions, actually.

I may have said it before but I use a variety of scents because I never know what kind of mood I will be in. I may be in a sultry mood and my cucumber melon perfume wouldn't work in that case, for example. My go to scent is Provocative Woman. It just depends on my mood or, if I know I'm going where there are scent sensitive people, I'll just go sans extra scents. My deodorant (a must!) is a nice pear scent and that doesn't seem to bother anyone.
