I'm having a bit of troubles today - first it was homework, then it was the car, now it's the fact that I forgot that Katzie was already one of my friends which largely points to the fact that I'm having one of those "days."
*cough*
I came back to post a quote that I think is totally amazing.
I've saved it for years in my diary of quotes.
It's from Rachel Carson's (1956) book, The Sense of Wonder:
"If I had the influence with the Good Fairy who is supposed to preside over
the christening of all the children; I should ask that her gift to each child
be a sense of wonder so indestructible that it would last throughout life,
as an unfailing antidote against boredom and disenchantments of later
years, the sterile preoccupation with things that are artificial, the alienation
from the source of our strength."
Apparently, I did not write down the page number. I must have been having one of those days back then, too! *Imagine that*
