Being a grandmother twice over! My youngest son and his partner got married this week. His wife has a son from a previous relationship and though I've always treated him like a grandson I was hesitant to call him my grandson until I had reason to believe his mom intended to stick around. I don't know that it will last forever but at least for now there's serious intent and that's a good start. So this week is their oldest son's birthday and right now I am all about having fun picking out presents for my grandson. He's already showing himself to be a great big brother by trying to share a toy with images of his baby brother on the picture screen at the ultrasound.
