On the first Sunday of September
I don't have anything special planned for today, other than rest and enjoy a new book, which was given to me by a very special someone.
Last night, I stayed up late reading from
The Help (Kathryn Stockett, 2009). I came across an amazing section about Skeeter, where she received an reply back from a senior publishing editor, trying to find her first job as an recent college graduate. Elaine Stein said to Skeeter, and I quote: "Write about what disturbs you, particularly if it bothers no one else."
I SO resonate with that way of thinking and type writing.
In other news, *lol*, I came across two other worthwhile quotes to think upon:
"You must stay 'drunk' on writing so reality cannot destroy you" (Ray Bradbury).
And because it's nearly the advent of the Fall season, here's a beautiful thought for the day:
"Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the Autumn tree"
(Emily Brönté).
Wishing everyone a VERY lovely Sunday!
