You ever read novels by Chaim Potok? In particular,
The Chosen? I ask, because it's been a favorite book to read, since I was in high school. It's about two young boys, who are each other's rival. They both love baseball. They both live in The Bronx and both come from rival Jewish sects.
In many ways, you remind me of one protagonist in the story, Danny Saunders. I hope you see that as a compliment because it's a compliment from my heart of hearts. I liked Danny very much in this story.
Anyway, if you've never read the book, check it out. I think you'll enjoy books by Chaim Potok.
