Obviously double or either triple the order for the one that is constantly sold out and consider order less of the ones that just sit on the shelf!
Here's an idea, which might prove useful:

Anytime I want to stock up on a favorite item, I order a case of it directly via the store manager. I know them all by name, personally, at the few grocery stores I tend to shop at only.
