It's less about self control and more about listening to my body. I didn't NEED to eat. I had a calorie dense and very healthy breakfast and a very calorie laden, although less healthy, late lunch. I had already ingested enough calories for the day and then some and I really wasn't hungry. If I had eaten, it would have been out of habit or because I just WANTED to. My body didn't need it.
Some days are better than others but my goal is always to listen to my body. The one thing I did need, which was water as my lunch had a high salt content, I gave myself. I guess, technically, I had a couple cups of water for my dinner last night.
Hang in there! If you listen to your body, really listen, and try not to give into emotional or boredom eating, you'll feel better.
