Was a woman scientist from communist Hungary, and rejected many times over and over by prestigious education institutions on the east side of America (Penn State, to name one) for her scientific endeavors to develop the mRNA molecule to take down disease in the human body. Katalin was the woman scientist behind the mRNA COVID vaccine.
I just got through learning a bit about her in a news article. She has suffered greatly by failed policy addressing immigration, flawed thinking processes by peers in her field of scientific study, and I would also say she’s a victim of the poisonous hand of a patriarchal society that does not value women.
If you’re curious to read about her life’s story, you can find it over on Science Friday (
https://www.sciencefriday.com/segmen...ered-a-nobody/). This press release was from last May. Title of article: I Was Considered A Nobody.
She could have given up, but she never did. She believed in her research. She was never interested in any celebrity type attention. She’s truly on the right side of life. I’m so glad she never gave up.
