I was watching a show on elaborate hotels last week and one of the featured hotels (more like a B&B really) was the home of Lizzie Borden. One guy interviewed said, "I was laying on the floor, in the exact spot that her dad got it, and I felt something."
Could it have been a blood-born disease since minimal wood has been replaced since then? 
On another semi-related note, I want to venture to the Madonna Inn one day.
