Welcome to the thread and to the site! I'm sure you already know this - there will be a Pride event in your area (Catawba Valley Pride) the weekend of October 15. If you are wanting to meet people in your area consider volunteering for the evert or just attend. From what I've read so far it looks like it will be a wonderful weekend.
