I hardly ever have a solid handle on the intricate psychology of my own motivations. When I say I don't know its because I really don't know why I did something. Sometimes it takes me hours, days, weeks, years or decades to really understand why I did something.
Some people have these really nice well-lit brains, but some of us fumble around in the dark most of the time.
