Texas is good....and we are very friendly....some people don't like us but if you stay long enough and give us a chance we are pretty awesome! I 'catch it' at times for living in Texas....how my mail must come by stagecoach ; sometimes folks think if one has an accent they aren't too bright (and boy oh boy Jaqueline and Diva have 'em some accents now!); the weather DOES change at the drop of a hat (the saying goes, "If you don't like the weather in Texas, wait 5 minutes, it'll change!")........

The plus side is.....Texas has a rough kind of beauty in the west, and a lush kind of beauty in the east and things are pretty laid back if You're not in the Big Four (Houston, Dallas, San Antonio or Ft. Worth)....but the best thing is, yes, [most] people are friendly and will speak to You just for the hell of it. On the back country roads, on-coming drivers will wave as You pass by, and if You're on a 2-lane road and come up behind a slower car, they'll move over to let You pass.

Texas ~ in spite of our lame-ass governor ~ is a wonderful place. Come on down!
